"This hotel is perfect for families of all sizes and ages. We had so much to do in walking distance from the hotel with the beach and multiple parks nearby. The restaurants were excellent, and the service was good. I’d recommend upgrading to the rooms away from the primary tower if you have room in your budget, as these areas looked much nicer and newer. "

"The hotel lobby interior and rooms are recently renovated. The excellence of service, decor, quality of beds and sheets is a surprise, since the outside of the buildings look old and somewhat depressing. The color of the buildings does not help. However, once inside, the rooms are bigger than usual, with everything you need - fridge, microwave, desk, 2 chairs, drawers and open closet space. The drawback for some people: the sink is in the room, the toilet and bath-tub shower are in a tiny room which has a normal door. Everything worked well - air-conditioner, shower, plenty of hot water. All was properly clean, no smell of smoke. Not in the best area of San Diego, but the price for value is very good for those on a budget. FYI no breakfast available, but Starbucks and other food options including grocery stores are nearby."
