"I had a very late check-in and later had to request a room change due to a strong unpleasant odor in the first room. We were moved to another room, which smelled better, but I found the bathtub revolting, with significant mold along the bath seal. The sink constantly flooded because of the old-fashioned double taps (one for hot, one for cold water). The bidet was broken and leaked water onto the floor. The exterior of the hotel, particularly on the balcony side, looked very dirty. They should consider hiring professionals to clean the outside of the building periodically. The TV options in English were extremely limited or non-existent, which was very frustrating. The hotel provides one complimentary bottle of water per guest per day, but on a few occasions, we had a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, but we were still denied water for those days. This forced us to buy water from a grocery store, which felt unnecessarily petty on the part of the reception staff. Overall, the staff is very nice but the hotel has serious issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and service that need attention."

"Front staff not understanding. Hotel did not state a passport was needed to stay and did not let me check in. I lost my reservation, time and money and had to quickly book with another hotel in the middle of nowhere."

"We rented a room at Hotel Candamo for a quick stay before heading to Lima Airport. We arrived early in the morning and communicated our time of arrival in order to have a smooth check in but were greeted by a doorman who didn’t seem to be notified of the situation. The room was simple but had a surprising giant window that enabled us to see through the bathroom from where the bed was placed. In comparison to the price, though nothing extraordinary, Hotel Candamo sufficed our needs. "

"Very run down. Shower is dirty looking including the shower curtain. The grout has mold. You can hear everything outside specially all the honking. Just soap for toiletries, no shampoo. No where to hang the towel in the bathroom, it was rolled up on the bed. Very shady atmosphere. "
