"This is truly the most unique, amazing, beautiful place I have ever stayed at! It is so gorgeous you have to see it to believe it... everything is so thought out and perfect, from the decor to the fruit and yogurt being served in the most elegant mason jars, the teacups artistically placed on the walls can only be seen as art! "⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Stay! The National Exchange Hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning—beautifully restored, elegant, full of character, and one of the most charming places I’ve ever stayed. What truly made this an unforgettable experience, though, was the incredible staff. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special shoutout to the front desk team for their warm hospitality and professionalism—they made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The restaurant staff also deserves recognition. Whether it was brunch or dinner, the service was exceptional. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making every meal a great experience. It’s rare to find a place where both the property and the people are equally outstanding. Thank you to everyone at the National Exchange Hotel for making our visit so memorable. I can’t wait to come back and will recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nevada City!"

Lakefront Lodge w/Dock, Wood Fireplace, Kayaks & Modern Kitchen

10/10 Excellent
"Everything about the property was on point. Kitchen and gas BBQ as we like to cook accommodated all needs. Coffee bar was on point for whatever you needs were. Most importantly the outdoors exceeded out 2 boys 16 and 19 and their 2 cousins' boy/girl 15 and 16 with the outdoor activities. Paddleboard, Kayak, canoe and good fishing with plenty of other outdoor activities. We also brought are 11-year-old lab. She swam in the lake, the 1st time in over a year and liked to roll in the meadow!! We had our boat at Scotts Flat reservoir 20 minutes away. We were on the water 4 different days wakeboarding, wake surfing and tubing!! Spent 1 day at the Yuba River swimming and fly fishing!! we caught 15 fish mostly little ones, but it is always fun on a fly rod!! The river was only 15 minutes from the house. Town is right there but did not go in, spent out free time cooking and the lodge. Great time and looking to rebook for next year!!"

"Our stay was wonderful. Everything had a personal touch and was welcoming and clean. The area was peaceful and the view is beautifully surrounded by trees. The house slept 8 of us comfortably. 3 bathrooms made getting ready easy and the washer and dryer was a great extra touch. AC worked great and there were throw blankets available. The kitchen was stocked with nice extras like coffee, tea, waters, and cereal/oatmeal. There were a lot of games to play and a full game room downstairs. The house is everything you see in the pictures. Highly recommend!"

Charming 1-bedroom Cabin in the Forest Nevada City with AC, WiFi

Charming 1-bedroom Cabin in the Forest Nevada City with AC, WiFi

8/10 Good
"Very cute little cabin! We loved the decor and feel of the place. One thing that surprised us if that this cabin is actually attached to a house where the family lives. When we pulled up we thought maybe we were in the wrong place because the listing doesn’t mention it being attached to the main house. There were multiple trailers or dwelling units (2-3) and other people living on the property so it seems. We thought it was a stand alone cabin. It ended up being fine but definitely something that should be clarified in the listing. The living space was cozy and the little backyard was very sweet with plants and places to sit and enjoy the nature. One small glitch, the hot water heater wasn’t working on our last day when we went to shower. Not sure what happened with the unit but it beeped strangely and the on demand unit went blank. Overall it was a cute little place and we enjoyed our trip!"
