The Cedar House is centrally located in the heart of the valley, for an easy commute to all the attractions this area has to offer but will give you the sense you are miles away from it all. This house is a one-of-a-kind from the exceptional wood work through-out the home from local cedar trees. The trees that surround the property and tranquil setting give privacy, peace and beauty. Sit and enjoy the sound of the stream flowing and birds singing from the decks that overlook Divide Creek. If you want to be active and take in all this area has to offer or just get away and enjoy some R&R, this is the house for you! The Cedar house is conveniently located 4 miles from I-70 Corridor giving easy access to Glenwood Hot Springs Pool/Iron Mountain Hot Springs Pool (29 minutes), Glenwood Adventure Park (25minutes) Sunlight Mountain (45 minutes), Other Skiing at Aspen, Snowmass, Powder Horn, and Vail, Wine tasting through the vineyards of Palisade (1 hour), explore the beauty of Rifle Falls (35 minutes) Lakota Canyon Golf Course (20 minutes), White Water Rafting, Fly Fishing on the Colorado River(4 miles). The property borders BLM for a multitude of trails for all the hiking, biking and snowshoeing you could want. Hunters access BLM 2 miles up the road and 7 miles to national forest.

My family enjoyed our spring break stay and this cabin provided everything we needed. The host was responsive and the check-in/out process was clear and straight forward for the most part, if a bit overly involved. There were things that needed figuring out along the way: operating the shower was unintuitive, making sense of the light switches and fan controls, only a few window screens if you like open windows, doors that don't quite latch all the way, extra pet fees, outdated instructions, etc. Those quirks aside, the place was spacious and charmingly cute (wagon wheel window in the bathroom). The fenced in yard gave us peace of mind letting our dog explore. Lots of deck and patio spaces to read and enjoy the outside. The entryway has a nicely portioned vestibule for leaving shoes, coats, and leashes with a dutch door separating the main floor area. Wifi worked well, and we had no problems using the entertainment system. It's closer to 30 minutes from Glenwood Springs than 20, but there are a couple closer towns (Silt, and New Castle) if you need something in a pinch. Overall, we loved it and would gladly recommend it and stay here again in the future!

Such a perfect Charming Cabin. Had everything we needed. Beautiful grounds. Love the wild life and the river. Great location to explore the area. Our dogs were very happy there. Nice fenced yard. Would stay again.

We had a fantastic time! The best part was the fully fenced/enclosed yard! We took our two dogs and it was so nice to have a nice big space for them to explore without worrying that they were going to escape. The space was very clean and we had everything we needed for a lovely stay! Would absolutely stay again! Thanks so much for having us.

We had a nice stay. Charity was available and checked in with us. She was very kind to put up a couple of "happy birthday" signs for my husband. We stayed with my in laws and our two young kids. Sleeping arrangements worked well for us. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, oven was a little tough to get to work so we used the toaster oven the most. It would be nice if there were a few more curtains for privacy, but it was still a great place to stay. Would recommend for families :)

The cabin was so cute, we had a great time. Charity was very helpful and responsive and the home was well stocked. The yard was great for our dogs, they really liked exploring, although worth keeping an eye on them outside if you have an escape artist like we do!! It was very quiet and tranquil and you felt immersed in the mountains which is what we wanted. The leaves were changing and beautiful. We would definitely come back!

We couldn't ask for a better experience. The home, location and property manager were all great. Peaceful but close enough to I-70 for convenient traveling. The house was very clean and well stocked, and our host was quick to reply and very helpful. Looking forward to another trip there in the future.

Relaxing escape!

We loved our stay at the Cedar House! Comfortable beds, as well as couches and many other seating choices. The only thing I’d add is a TV in the upstairs bedroom. Bathrooms are great and everything is wonderfully supplied with everything you need. The completion of outside furnishings is what is provided by nature! Just Beautiful!!

Charming Cabin

The cabin is really cute and has a lot of character. It was nice to sit outside and listen to the creek while reading a book. The pictures on the listing do seem a little dated as the property looked different and could use a little TLC. There is not much privacy in this house as curtains are used to separate rooms and the upstairs master bedroom/bathroom situation is interesting. The Swamp Cooler worked excellently to cool off the house as it was pretty hot during the day when we were there. The cabin is very rustic and is in the "country" -animals, livestock, lots of bugs-so if that's not what you're looking for maybe try something else. Overall my family enjoyed our stay at this house and would stay again.

Glenwood Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property! It was quiet, relaxing and restful but a short drive to the hot springs and downtown Glenwood Springs. The host was super responsive and helpful when we noticed the propane tank was empty! We will definitely come back.

Cozy and inviting

It was an interesting experience to stay at Cedar House. The house has great deal of character, was cosy and warm and inviting. Play room could benefit from a bit of an update and upstairs bathroom is for open-minded people only. Overecommending

Weekend getaway

This was our first getaway as a new couple. It was a perfectly cozy cabin, great location and we could bring our dogs. Loved just being able to relax and unwind. Charity was great with her communication!

Perfect getaway!

We spent three days here with our five kids and couldn’t have been happier. The house was gorgeous and charming and the surrounding land was spectacular. A perfect place to slow down and enjoy time with each other.
