The staff were friendly and helpful from arrival to checkout. The location was perfect for a long weekend stay, close to the subway stations, lots of restaurants + bars, and felt safe at all hours. There is a taqueria on the same block and their tacos are tortas are delicious! There were a few small imperfections in the room (a chip out of the wardrobe, the mini fridge door opened awkwardly), but nothing that affected our stay. Overall, we throughly enjoyed our stay

The hotel is clean and efficient. Its breakfast menu is limited but sufficient; croissants, yogurt, fruit, coffee & tea. If it had a swimming pool I would rate it even higher. It's very nice to come out in the morning when the flower shops up and down the street have put their plants out.

Loved the location and the staff was great. The property was in need of a refresh - tile in the shower was old, the elevator door was held together by duct tape, the towels were frayed and overall, it was just tired looking. The fitness area was being renovated which we were unaware of when we booked, which was disappointing.

I loved the location of this hotel, the staff was friendly, the room was very clean and was cleaned daily. They were so great to was able to check in at 1:00. The only reason why I gave 4 stars was that because of the lack of transparency. It was advertised the property with a restaurant rooftop and a gym and they were both under construction. I was looking forward to spending my evenings at the rooftop. Other wise everything was great. I will stay again, hopefully next time the amenities will be available.

The room was clean but paint needs touch up. Made it feel dingy. Property was clean. Breakfast was plain. Try better coffee & more hot breakfast but the complimentary is always a plus for something light and quick. Staff was nice and helpful. Wish the ice machine wasn’t in the basement and there’s no doors on the shower. Other than small nuances the stay was great. Good location.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Hayden , its was a nice hotel good enough for a good night sleep after walking 20k steps a day. The hotel is close to the subway station and Madison square garden it was easy to get around. Will book again in the future

The location was very convenient. It's in the lovely "flower market" area, and stepping out each morning to the beautiful flowers was really nice! One of the main subway lines has a station about a 5 minute walk. The room was very clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly. I was able to drop off my luggage well before check-in, and also at the end of my stay until I was done with my business in the city. The breakfast is continental style: pastries, fruit, coffee / tea.

Stayed here for a few nights during a NYC trip. Location is genuinely convenient — close to Penn Station and an easy walk to most of Midtown — and the front desk staff were pleasant enough during check-in. That said, a couple of things fell short. My friend, who is visually impaired, had specifically arranged in advance for an early check-in given he was arriving off an overnight red-eye flight, exhausted and needing to get settled. Despite the advance notice, the hotel wasn't able to accommodate it, and he ended up waiting around with his luggage for several hours until the standard 3:00 PM check-in time. For a guest who'd flagged a specific accessibility-related need ahead of time, this was a disappointing gap. Breakfast was another letdown — thin offerings, and what was there wasn't good: lukewarm, bland, and clearly an afterthought rather than something the hotel takes any pride in. Nothing here is dealbreaker-bad, and the room itself was clean and comfortable, but between the early check-in miss and the breakfast, it landed solidly in "okay" territory rather than anywhere better. Worth knowing before you book if either of those things matter to you.
