Vista LIC is a comfortable and well-appointed hotel in a relatively quiet neighborhood in Queens. It’s close to three different subway stations which makes it easy to get to/from Manhattan. As a bonus, Queens is a foodie paradise for those wiling to go off the tourist path. Vista LIC is a great value for New York City.

In a 5-day stay, 1 day the room wasn't clean. The air conditioner was very loud/noisy. On the plus side, we were able to get a refrigerator for our room. The bed was comfortable, lots of hot water and very quiet even during the weekend. Someone’s luggage was in the lobby unattended for most of the day.

We had an enjoyable stay here. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was quite small with little counter space, but the water pressure was excellent. On street parking around the hotel was sometimes available and we felt very safe walking in the area at night. There is also a nearby parking garage with lower rates than onsite parking if you like. We never had time to use any amenities so I cannot comment on those. While I would not describe this as a luxury experience, overall everything was very nice for the price and we would not hesitate to stay again.

The hotel is is a very quiet location, close to several metro stations, It has a lovely 7th floor terrace with couches and great city and sunset views, which we enjoyed, All the staff encountered were very nice and friendly. However the room was very small room (strangely it appears they put the 2 double beds in the smallest footprint room on our floor according to the floor map on the back of the door). Ours was a city view room, which got very hot during the day due to the sunlight, which appears to be a known issue, as they had added an additional standalone AC unit in the room to help out. We tried to keep the curtains closed to help cool down the room, but that kind of defeats the purpose of getting a city view room. This room does not have a refrigerator but they do have ice machines on every other floor. I wouldn't recommend staying here is you need 2 beds. It would probably be fine if you just need 1 bed (and maybe avoid booking the city view rooms during warmer months).

Not family friendly. When we reserved the room, and again when checking in, we stated that we had two children. Still, we were placed on the 10th floor below a nightclub / event space. It was so loud our kids were unable to sleep, which means our kids have not slept enough which has negatively impacted our planned day today- the whole reason we stayed at the hotel. If you have children, consider other options. Room was clean, location was a convenient walk from subway. But would not stay again with children.

Staff nice and friendly. Rooftop is pretty and everyone there nice and good service. Rooms were fine. Didn’t realize they have shower stall only so difficult with a young child that usually only takes baths but I didn’t notice in the pictures.

This is a property my spouse and I used to frequent a lot when it was Four Points by Sheraton. It still has the warm reception staff, the on-point chefs for dinner on the rooftop, and for breakfast. The rooms are still nice and we got to laugh and reminisce. This property is just simply wonderful to us!

All the staff was very helpful. Some room outlets (in the desk area) did not work. The cafe was very convenient, and the food was good. I did have to open the windows to air out the room. The location was good - 10 min walk to Queens Plaza for trains.
