A great surprise was a general store that had everything we needed right across the street, and beautiful hiking and places to eat within a half hour. "I decided to stay a bit out of town for a ski trip....and it was perfect. Just a 10 min ride down the hill to OKEMO and LUDLOW. It is absolutely beautiful and quiet...the sunsets and sunrises are amazing from the top of that hill. It is secluded and you really get a slice of VT. The unit is very large and spacious. Showers and amenities were great, but they did not have a pan in case you were planning on cooking. "We had a wonderful long weekend at Dave's place. The location is spectacular and the apt was just perfect. We had all we needed for an all-in-skiing weekend with the kids. However, access was difficult as the lock box was jammed, and the advertised parking was not available which was a problem because the town of Ludlow does not allow overnight street parking and there were no alternatives. I was impressed by how much this hike had available form our convenience. My only issue is that the home is advertised as a 2 bedroom but it is a loft space with 3 beds and no doors.
