"I travel frequently to major cities on east and west coast. I understand the concept of surge pricing. There were a lot of events in the Chicago this particular weekend. I paid over a $1000 dollars for 2 nights. This hotel most certainly is not a $500 a night hotel. This is a very simple, basic hotel in a central location. The staff was overwhelmed by the crowds at check in. Check in took longer than it should have. The room was small but neat. The hotel was adequate it is just was not worth anywhere near $500/night."

"Rooms were run down and dirty. Our rooms AC unit was extremely loud and we got no sleep. Someone came by to “fix it” and just hit it. It was dented in and never properly cooled the room and it continued to make weird noises. The location was amazing everything else was terrible including the $16 espresso martini at the bar. Would not recommend"

"Room felt dirty. Carpet made me have an allergic reaction. Bathrooms were tiny and cramped and had little fruit flies flying all over the shower. AC unit was finicky, either made room too hot or too cold. Bed was insanely uncomfortable. My spouse and I kept sinking towards the middle of the mattress and causing back pain for me throughout the night."

"When walking into the hotel go to the desk to see the clerk because I went to the kiosks first and was able to type in all my information for the room and then paid for the room I reserved and then went to the clerk and they said I still had to pay for the room even tho I already paid and I showed them the payment through my bank but they said they didn't have anything shown in their system that I paid. After 15 minutes of being on the phone with my bank and the clerk. The original payment was refunded and I had to do the whole process a second time. Also my room didn't have a mini fridge due to there not having anymore available so it was a bit difficult to keep my refrigerated medicine cold."

"We would definitely stay here again. The location is great so much to do within walking distance. Having so many great places to eat in the area we weren't able to visit the downstairs bar/restaurant, but I heard great reviews from friends about their food and service. The room was very nice and clean. Housekeeping came quickly with extra towels when requested. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately I don't remember everyone's names. I do remember Antoine who helped us with our bags and storing them before our check in. He was Top Notch, very friendly and went out of his way to even help us with our luggage into the Uber on the way out."

"The Hilton Chicago is the best hotel I have ever been in over 45 years of traveling. The hotel is spectacularly maintained and the staff supremely helpful and concerned about the customers needs. The breakfast buffet is totally worth the cost. The location is second to none. If I wind up in Chicago again, I will be found at the Hilton Chicago."
