"I did not realise that we were staying in a plantation village, with multiple accommodation. I had made a request for two beds and, as it was a slow time of year, we got two bedrooms. Pahala is a very cute town (and currently the only one with a grocery store as the one in Naalehu was no longer as at 28 Jan 25). The people were also really friendly. "Dan’s home (aka Rick’s Place) was absolutely perfect for someone looking for a calm, peaceful and secluded ocean front view. This is the most well stocked home we’ve ever rented. They have everything for you. It is off the beaten path, so for those looking for downtime with the ocean waves crashing in your backyard, then this is the right spot for you. As my wife said as we left, she’s never been more disappointed to leave a rental house behind. "

"This property was very clean and well-stocked with many items to make our stay very comfortable. The views are beautiful and we did enjoy a round of golf. It’s not in great shape, but the reviews are stunning! We really enjoyed the outdoor living part of this home. The pool was wonderful to have; however, the listing stated it was heated, but should be clarified to say “solar heated”. We would definitely come back to stay at this property again!"

"This house is exactly as described. Room for 8 (if 2 are thin and short or are children). The host is very communicative and helpful. The check in and check out process is very easy. There are games in the basement and the host has a whole shed of snorkels, fins, chairs, beach equipment, etc. Really great if you've come from far and obviously couldn't pack your own.Why this house might not be for you: it is rural. "I’m always looking for a quiet place to get away from all of today’s modern stress. The house layout is perfect as you can rest inside and still see all the views or relax on the generous lanai. Walk down to view the ocean and schools of fish by the cliff. And best of all enjoy the plunge pool which is bigger than the pictures indicate. Loved our time here. "What a wonderful place to stay! The property was so clean and the area was quiet . The views from the deck were superb and it made leaving the house for the day very hard! To swim it’s definitely challenging to enter and exit water but worth the effort ! My parents (75) were not able to get in as the terrain to enter and exit was too treacherous .
