"I did not realise that we were staying in a plantation village, with multiple accommodation. I had made a request for two beds and, as it was a slow time of year, we got two bedrooms. Pahala is a very cute town (and currently the only one with a grocery store as the one in Naalehu was no longer as at 28 Jan 25). The people were also really friendly. "Sitting on the moon at the edge of the ocean. Breathtaking is putting it mildly. Spectacular 100%. Enchanting to say the least. There really aren’t enough wonderful things to say about Hale Kai. The location, the stunning views, the only sounds you hear are the waves crashing on the shore, it’s absolutely awe-inspiring. The house is fantastic, open, and airy, yet cozy and inviting. "This was our second visit to this beautiful vacation home and we loved it just as much as our first! The home is clean and so well cared for - the kitchen has all the amenities we needed to cook multiple family meals. "The house accommodates 10 people, you do have some stairs and the wrap around deck is where we spent all our time. At the Big Island everywhere is a drive to get to, so plan accordingly. The home is clean and stocked with all kitchen and bathroom necessities including beach towels, coolers, for picnics, and beach toys!
