"We were on a cycle trip Lands End to John O'Groats, and the hotel was fairly close to the route. We were able to get a meal at night and the breakfast was fine too. Hotel were able to offer safe and secure storage for the bike. The hotel is quite a historic building and could perhaps do with some refurbishment, but it had a nice touch of charm about it and the staff were very friendly. "

I was initially dubious at what I would find as it was competitively priced but the Inn, the room and the breakfast were all really nice. Parking is an issue as there is no car park but on street parking was available in a well lit area."

"What a delightful experience it was to stay at Instow Barton B&B and be hosted by Colin & Caroline. Happy, bubbly and a very friendly reception on our arrival. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of there way to make us feel welcome in there home. Very generous size bedroom, large barthoom and cake was in our room everyday! Breakfast menu was extensive and varied. Quality of food was of a 5 Star standard and presented in a timely and professional manner. I’d go as far as to say that...

"This was a beautiful property. The surrounding area was picturebook. We had a very good meal and a good, comfortable sleep. My only issue is the roads were very difficult getting there, so I could not recommend to a tourist with no experience with the narrow roads and remote location."

"The toilet was on the outside of the room which i was not expecting when i had booked a room with a private bathroom. The shower also steps onto carpet and there is no exhaust fan and no way to open the window which makes room quite humid when trying to straighten hair. Also concerned also the shower had some mould in it. The no exhaust fan with the shower being in the room could lead to mould problems in the future. Otherwise okay"

"Stopped here overnight whilst walking the South West Coast Path. Very clean and comfortable room with everything I needed after 16 miles of walking and ahead of 20 miles the next day! Lovely period hotel, fabulous sash windows, high ceiling, warm and cosy room, really nice feel to the place. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. Extensive breakfast menu, all cooked to order. I had a delicious vegetarian breakfast. Would highly recommend. "

"We stayed just one night at The Burrator Inn but what a lovely stay. We had a tasty dinner before retiring to our large, well furnished, comfortable bedroom. The room was warm and welcoming with a good en suite bathroom. The breakfast menu was excellent, and the staff friendly and efficient. We would certainly recommend it to our friends."

The food was tasty and plentiful, proper food, not that novelle cuisiine nonsense. The beer was well-brewed and truly tasty. The parking was a bit cramped but nothing that any reasonably competent driver could not cope with. We would definitely stay there again."

"The Mole Resort is absolutely FABULOUS! Lodges are spacious, very clean and well equipped with own parking space at the door to the lodge. It is a quiet resort (whilst I was there anyway!) and this was well received. The team are easily contacted via WhatsApp which is great and there was only 1 issue I needed to bring to their attention (patio door did not lock during my stay, thought to be caused by the hot weather). The grounds are lovely, great to walk the dog, and although I did not visit...
