"We truly enjoyed our stay at the Apex City of Edinburgh Hotel. The staff were very attentive and helpful, and helped arrange a surprise (cake and balloons) for my wife's birthday. The room was large by European standards and the bathroom was elegant, well equipped, and also very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable and we appreciated the extras (slippers and robe) and a welcome plate of fruit and chocolates. The only negatives were the condition of some very easily remedied aspects of our room and property. The hotel was a little dated and needed refreshing in some areas. For example, although not terrible, our room needed a fresh coat of paint and the carpets could use cleaning. Also a sofa in a common area on our floor was completely worn and in need of replacement. With a few of these updates this could become a 5 Star hotel across the board. All in all, it was a good experience and I would consider returning on another stay in Edinburgh."

The hotel was worth every penny and truly made our visit even more memorable. Our only regret is that we didn’t have enough time to experience everything the area has to offer! We enjoyed ourselves so much that we’re already planning a return trip in the next few years. We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again!"

It was definitely wee but perfect for one person and more than suitable for two if you’re happy to be cosy! They accommodated bag storage and late check out without a fuss and were friendly and helpful."

"This is a lovely place to stay. The staff are excellent, the location is near public transportation (bus stop) and its a nice half hour walk to the Royal Mile. It is conveniently near Holyrood Park and the trails to Arthur's Seat. The restaurant Abacus was excellent. The staff quickly fixed an issue in the bathroom sink which is the only reason I gave them a 4 on cleanliness."
