"The rooms aren't actually in/ above the pub, there is a separate building out the back with the rooms. The building isn't anywhere near as attractive at the pub!
I was a little disappointed as it was a birthday present to go to The Henry Moore Foundation, dinner and stay over.
The rooms are nice, we had a king room and the bed was huge and comfy- no complaints about the rooms themselves, other than they were very hot.
I would stay again if in the area, but not as a special occasion."
"I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay."
"I absolutely detested the evening meal service available because it was premised on a "minimal waiter/waitress service model. The idea was that you order and pay for your meal at the bar and it is brought to your numbered table when ready by the same staff member. The problem comes when you order something else, an extra glass of wine in my case.Waitress said I either had to interrupt my meal and walk to the bar and order and pay for the extra glass of wine ( which is what she really wanted me...
