"Gorgeous hotel with wonderful staff. I don’t think they’ve marketed it very much yet (or else the gays aren’t as keen on Crete) because we were the only gays staying there. Full of straight couples and lots of straight PDA at the pool.. strange for an Axel Hotel. As for the location, it’s about three or four hours drive from the best attractions of the island - all much farther west. The AC unit did leak onto our faces as we slept, so we had to stop using it."

"Casa Blu and all the staff was exactly what we wanted from our holiday. The hotel was spotless, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and polite. The location was fantastic! Tavernas, cafes and restaurants were only a short walk away. We would highly recommend it and will be looking at going back for sure"

"The property is advertised as a 4 star probably based on the amenities however it’s a 3 star at the most based on UK STANDARDS. The food is limited for vegetarians apart from the array of salads and possibly 4 vegetarian main options. Foods are not not always labelled. However the chef is accommodating if given pre-notice. Rooms needs a revamp, common areas are not cleaned, sun bed are not cleaned daily."

"The room we stayed in was cleaned everyday and towels and ( coffee pods for the machine) replaced. I was initially slightly dubious about using the sister hotel facilities. But I can assure you it is literally 2 mins away, on a private beach. They have a lovely pool and the most amazing staff. We came for just 5 days and it was just so wonderful to relax and enjoy the surroundings and food and staff’s kindness."

"This is a new hotel. Room was lovely - huge with beautiful views and a private hot tub on the very large balcony. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend. "
