"The El Albergue is a very unique property. It’s literally located steps from the train tracks at Ollantaytambo Station. There is definitely noise from the trains, but I booked an interior room that faces the mountains and had no issues. The property is very quaint and the staff was very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again."

"This was a lovely boutique hotel with a beautiful view of the river and the mountains. Very accommodating staff with a nice breakfast and good information about the town and tour options. The manager took me on a private tour of the Sacred Valley and also woke up extra early to make me breakfast before my Machu Picchu visit. There was no heat in the room but there were plenty of warm blankets to keep you comfortable. I felt completely safe as a solo female traveler and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Ollantaytambo area. "

"Sound travels easily in the house so it can be noisy at times. Otherwise it’s an excellent place to stay. A short and very scenic walk to the plaza which has tons of great restaurants, coffee shops, souvenir shops and spas. The owner Jorge and his staff took excellent care of us. "

"I wish I could give them more than 5/5 stars! This was an absolutely stunning property. 360° of incredible views day and night. It was a very peaceful experience. The staff were attentive, responsive, and you can tell they all genuinely care about the property. Virginia and Jose made us feel right at home! Also they have multiple animals on the property including a baby alpaca and kittens. I highly recommend opting in on the dinners - they are affordable and the food is fantastic. Free transportation to the local town as well. Overall I am so happy we stayed here during our time in the Sacred Valley"
