"Upon checking into the room, we swiped our key card to reveal a filthy room. Beds unmade, dirty towels everywhere, filthy bathroom. When we brought this to the front desk's attention, they laughed it off and seemed completely unfazed. We were able to get a new room which while clean, had a bathtub that would not drain. "We just got home from a week at the Back Stop and it was a terrific place. Just a six minute drive to All Star Village and located in between the baseball festivities and downtown Oneonta which is also just a five minute drive. The apartment is on a really large plot of land with access to the owners pool until 8pm at night. Tammy and Eddy were terrific hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. They even had homemade cookies upon our arrival and Tammy came down with homemade blueberry muffins one day which were fantastic. The apartment has two bedrooms...one with a queen and the other with two twin beds. Also includes a full kitchen and decent size living area. You can see how much care they take for the apartment and experience of the guests. They even have a bunch of all-star village pins on display from all the teams that have stayed. We actually found our team pin there from 4 years back and recognized all the last names from town. A five star experience!"

"Beautiful property - house is immaculate and very spacious. Kids loved fishing, kayaking, and the horses on the farm. The baseball field was the cherry on top. Owners had excellent communication and generously sent back my son's tablet he left in the bedroom without hassle. A trip we will never forget and hope to return. Will definitely be passing this recommendation to other baseball families as it is within 10 minutes to CDP. Pro tip - stay south of the fields so turning right into the park is easier than waiting for the left at the light if you were to stay north of CDP. "
