Summary:
'Barton' on March is a Federation House that has been lovingly renovated with all the features of a modern home but keeps the charm of country living.

Located ideally in the Orange CBD (2 blocks from the main street, Summer Street) with only a short walk to cafes, restaurants, bars, parks, hotels and shops, you can get to most places on foot.

There are so many things to love about 'Barton' on March and we hope to welcome you to this special home on your next trip to our beautiful region.

The home is well equipped with coffee, tea, sugar, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and cleaning supplies.

The Neighborhood:
We are conveniently located 2 blocks from the main street on a stunning heriatge and tree lined street.

The best way to discover all this town has to offer is to walk. Stroll to 'Groundstone Cafe' for one of the best breakfasts, or grab a coffee to go at the very popular Cafe window 'Crema on Lords'.
Walk to the monthly Farmers Market at 'Northcourt' behind the Orange Library, or take the family for play at Robertson park. You can even stroll up to Cook Park, about a 15-20 minute walk from our home - here you can feed the ducks, admire the gorgeous gardens, visit the guildry and simply, relax.

After a great day out walk to dinner at Mr Lims Korean, Birdie, Union Bank, Sweet Sour Salt or head for a drink at the Parkview or the Canobolas - nothing is too far from this prime location!!

Some of our best wineries and cellar doors are as close as 10 minutes by car.

Orange stayzcation

Very well located, no outdoor space as indicated, extremely clean, short on kitchen crockery for 4 people , seeing there was no dishwashers, but host fixed that pronto after requesting . Beautiful linen & sleeping quarters. Would definitely recommend this accommodation

We did a family trip from Sydney and found this property great to stay in. It had character, it was finished well and the central location made getting around super easy! We’d definitely recommend it.

Perfect location

We took my elderly mother to see our daughter who lives in Orange as she had never been. Location is perfect. My mother has a walker so the fact the property had 2 bathrooms and easily accessible showers was exactly what we were looking for. Would definitely return.

A wonderful welcoming and comfortable place which was ideally located.Our stay there and in Orange itself was just not long enough. We hope to return to the same place. Thanks very much for the opportunity to stay in such a nice home.

Lovely stay at this beautiful house

The house was more spacious than we expected. The rooms were well appointed and clean. The kitchen would benefit from a few condiments and basics such as milk for tea and coffee. Overall a great stay 😃

Beautiful property in a great location

Really enjoyed staying at this property. The location in Orange was very central. While outside was chilly (1-2 degrees), inside was toasty with a fireplace, central gas heating and a comfy bed. The place was very spacious and had all the things needed for a short stay in Ornange. Would recommend.

Beautiful home in a perfect location

A very comfortable home with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms and a kitchen. Decore perfect. Just loved staying at this beautiful home in a perfect location within walking distance to Orange's main street. I would recommend this home to anyone who is visiting Orange.

Perfect location

This property is perfectly located in Orange and is within walking distance of everything. The property itself is spacious, quiet and very comfortable and the heating system is very effective. Pete and his team are very easy to deal with and very responsive. We enjoyed our stay here and would happily return when next in Orange.

First time in Orange

This is a beautiful home in the heart of Orange. Walking distance to “downtown”, great pubs and restaurants to try. This house is so stylish, warm and cosy. Beds comfy and the wood fire is a gorgeous touch in July. Thanks so much, highly recommend. Will stay again.

We had a wonderful, albeit too brief, stay in this lovely heritage home. It is in a convenient, central location, which allowed us to stroll for shopping and/or dining out, yet it is positioned in a very quiet street. The house itself is clean and well appointed. Our host, Peter, responded quickly to all emails ahead of our arrival and check-in was a breeze. I’d highly recommend a stay whilst touring Orange.

Heritage on March

A beautiful home. Nice and clean. A short walk into town and not very far for a drive to some amazing wineries Peter was just great to deal with, we had a baby with us, requested a portable cot and we were unable to assemble it! Peter came to the rescue and was all set up within minutes. We would not hesitate in recommending or staying here again

Short break in Orange

We loved the set up of the 2 bedroom cottage. Everything you needed was there. Sadly the oven was not clean and the trim on the door is missing a screw which made it difficult to close. So we avoided using it. That is the only thing we found out of order. Our stay was relaxing and we were in walking distance to the town centre. Thank you for such a lovely property to stay at.

Beautiful 1/2 House

A beautiful property however some things lacked. For the cost per night a box of tissues on the property might be included, the front garden is in of TLC and I wish I had checked their was no washer/ drier.

Magnificent stay in Orange

My 81 year old father was born and raised in Orange and when the restrictions were eased I asked him where he would like to go? Orange it was. But this house just was what the doctor ordered. Beautiful fire, magnificent lay out very well presented, clean as a whistle and so close to the centre of town. My words can’t do it justice. We hope to make this a regular occurrence and we won’t stay anywhere else. It’s a 12/10. Thank you from a me and my 80 year parents who loved it more and reminisced of the good old days of Orange. Great location in the heart of Orange

We spent a long weekend in June wine tasting and eating! The location was perfect, a brisk stroll to some great eateries in town. The street parking out front is surprisingly convenient. The house was much larger than we needed, and could have easily accommodated another couple. There are two good size bedrooms, two great bathrooms and two lounge rooms!! It is a smaller part of a beautiful large original house, so you could hear the children in the rental next door running up and down the floorboards. It didn't bother us, but if you want solidarity, I'd recommend you pay (a lot more) for a single property rental. No dishwasher, but not a problem for us as we at out. Only recommendations would be that a full length mirror would be great, as would some fire lighters to get the wood burner started more efficiently (to help the uninitiated like me)! Overall a great stay, will definitely come back and have already recommended the house to a few friends.
