" This is a hotel in the Daniel Boone Forest. People are there to enjoy the outdoors ,not be inside .This hotel was low on amenities but high on hospitality. The front desk and the dining staff were excellent.They were friendly and went out of their way to help me. The continental breakfast was just okay.The dinner menu was good with large portions. I would say that the cleanliness and the maintenance of the rooms could have been better.The bed was comfortable and the water was hot enough. I would have liked to have a microwave in the room."

"Pros: In a great location to all the things we wanted to do. Room was cute and the air conditioner wirked well. Cons: The shower head stunk and the tub held water and did not drain well. The wi fi on day one made it impossible to watch tv because to many people was on it but by day 2 no one was there and we has no problems with it. No house keeping so once i made coffee the 1st morning i had nothing left for the 2nd. Over all it was not to bad and fprnthe price we paid i was satisfied. "

"This place was very clean and cozy. After a day of hiking we were looking forward to soaking in the hot tub but it wouldn't turn on, we were too tired to care. The steps upstairs are very narrow so I wouldn't suggest it for an older couple. The road to get to the cabin was extremely rough, but it's no fault of the owners. The only problem with the place is the deck definitely needs work. Boards were sticking up and some were missing screws. It was definitely a nice place!"

"Overall a wonderful stay. There’s an exterior light that switches on and off ALL NIGHT LONG that seriously disrupted our sleep. Another guest mentioned it in their review last August and nothing has been done about it. The house would also benefit from hooks in the bathroom and bedrooms to hang towels and clothes. Other than that, it’s a great stay. "

"Cabin was not very clean, had cobwebs, bugs in the sheets, dirty floors, beer cans in fire place. Bare minimum cleaned. Will not be staying there again. "

"There were mice and they did leave their droppings on the counter, there was a large collection of mold in one of the cabinets, if you have a large party the hot water does run out after one shower. On the plus side there were A LOT of coffee filters (no need to bring your own as suggested), and the hot tub was nice."

"Cabin was very clean and had everything needed. Host was very responsive and communicated well. Well worth it and enjoyed every minute. Driveway is very steep, close to highway and no yard as it is on cliffs, but plenty of woods and mountain area to explore. Screen doors would be a plus to enjoy the fresh air. Kids enjoyed our visit and we all enjoyed the hot tub. Location still offers privacy while close to local attractions. Highly recommend."
