Good restaurants nearby and a lovely walk to beach/Marina short distance away. Will stay at The British Hotel again. "

"My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. everything was perfect : room, staff, pool/hottub. the view is of course amazing! Recommend these restaurants : -La Muse (at hotel) for breakfast and dinner. -Cafe Le Hibou Recommend these activities: -Day at spa / pool -Expeditions Wakefield : Renting kayak/canoe/paddleboard -Parc de La Gatineau -Village Dunnd's for Minigolf Chelsea -Shopping at the Tanger outlet"

"Exactly as booked - breakfast was very good: Continental included full breakfast. Breakfast was crowded, but great food options that they kept stocked. Pool was closed (but at this time of year, we didn't expect to swim in any case). Area is congested, but we knew that and picked for it's convenience/access. Checkin / out was effortless and parking included and sufficient. Two floors so no elevator but staff were great at making sure Sr. traveling with us in one of our two rooms was on first floor. Though pricey, all options are these days: and this was good value."

"Very close to Canadian museum of history which was why we chose it. Beautiful view of river and Ottawa. Enjoyed the Jacques Cartier Park."
