"A really beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location with extremely friendly staff members. The room was comfortable and spacious although the bathroom is perhaps a little dated now and the shower quite a squeeze (even for a size 12 woman) but having a bath was much appreciated. Our evening meal was good, though not exceptional but nothing to complain about. We were disappointed that the answer to our question as to whether we could have porridge without salt was a very firm 'no' but it was a nice change to have breakfast served to the table instead of the 'free for all' that is the more common breakfast buffet bar nowadays. All in all highly recommended. "

"Great stay at the green dragon inn. Its a really old pub so if you are into modern, this will not suit you. The staff are brilliant. Food was good. The room was fantastic, better than we expected. Crisp white linens on the bed, fab pillows and duvet. Great nights sleep. I would definitely recommend this place."

"Modest, clean, quiet, and centrally located this was a gem for Mon and Tue night stay. The shower had great water pressure and very hot water, too. Highly recommend. Two notes: rooms are located near an outdoor seating area with about 10 tables. Imagine weekend crowd might be loud. We thought checkout was 11 but the cleaning service said it was 10. They were very patient as we did last minute shopping to be out by half past."
