Sagamore Hill is a great place to visit for those nature lovers and history buffs. The tour of the Roosevelt house was interesting as well as a full museum on Theodore Roosevelt. This branch of the natural park service also included a nature trail that takes you to the pretty beach in the picture. Along the trail we were able to spot beautiful wild flowers many chipmunks, squirrels, deer, egrets, butterflies, crawfish, salamanders, etc.... Not one of the most majestic national parks I've been to but interesting, very pretty and a great mix of both history and nature! We spent 3.5 hours there including taking the house tour, thoroughly reading through everything in the museum and taking a stroll to the beach. It's near the cute historic town oyster bay which is a great town to stroll through and get lunch!

"They say a first impression can be your last and our first impression made it very hard to feel at ease in this unit. It looked like a construction zone. Dust was everywhere. They did have a cleaning person come in the next day and also provided air purifiers on request but still... my mom and I got daily headaches and nightly coughing fits. "First, Darwin was very responsive and flexible, after a 12 hr drive he was gracious enough to accommodate an early AM check in. Secondly, the location was ideal, close to downtown and grocery store. "Clean decent hotel. 5 minute walk to subway taking you to all the interesting points in downtown New York. Breakfast is decent n healthy, scrambled egg or boiled egg, there’s oranges and apples and pancake or pastry for choices. Took 167th to Fulton, Fulton to Howard-JFK then JFK air train for the airport. Staff is friendly n helpful. The only thing, dirty neighborhood. But I still felt safe. Would use again in the future due to reasonable price."
