Crown Isle Resort and Golf Community

"Amazing golf! A lovely location with many trees. The rooms were airy and well designated. The air conditioner was too loud for us to sleep but with a cool room, the conditioner turned off at bedtime, and the ceiling fan on, we slept comfortably. There was no room to room noise and that made for a wonderful sleep. Restaurant food very good. Would definitely stay here again"

"A wonderful place for families. It was refreshing to find the rooms designed for family needs. For example in our king room the separate bedroom and living area with couch bed (both equipped with TVs) allowed me and my daughter to have our own spaces and shows, which we really liked. Very pet friendly and very friendly and accommodating staff. Everything felt clean and smelled lovely. We liked the trail behind the hotel to walk our dogs. Lots of shops close by and enjoyed exploring comox too! I just wish there were more gluten and dairy free options for the free breakfast, as my daughter has allergies. Would return!"

"Check-in was easy front desk staff very pleasant room wasn’t quite ready so we decided to eat in the restaurant. I have to say the food is very good. Resort is pet friendly and we requested oceanfront and ground floor rooms as two of us were seniors with some mobility issues. Rooms given were very nice with a little grassy area for the dog overlooking the ocean. . However, some trees have been allowed to grow marring the view they could definitely used a little trimming. There is no parking in front of these rooms so that was a little challenging, but we were able to stop long enough to unload the luggage. Access from these rooms to the rest of the resort were up a lot of stairs or a very steep road. Rather challenging for seniors. Suggest the resort invest in a couple of golf carts to run people around the resort. The rooms were very nice and clean, newly updated, but once again stairs inside from the sleeping area to the washroom. There were not enough towels left in our room, and unfortunately, this was an ongoing problem throughout the whole resort for our three night stay. A little more attention could be paid to the patio areas, especially around the lights that have many spiders and bugs. The main area of the resort is lovely with flowers and quite well maintained however, the barbeques should be cleaned nightly, and around certain areas of the resort weeds have been left unchecked. With a little extra attention to detail, this could be a jewel of a resort"

"Fantastic cabins that were much larger than we anticipated. The galley-like kitchen had everything you needed. The bathroom was massive with a double jetted tub and the AC/heating unit worked perfectly. The location and views were great. The staff were really friendly when we showed up and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the Campbell River area."

"We stayed in room 118 at the very end of the corridor. The room itself is nice but the sea view was largely blocked by an ugly storage building and the WiFi struggled to reach us. There was no lift from the reception down to the 1st floor. We had to go down a flight of stairs wheel down a ramp and across to the lift. Not the best set up though we were told by the receptionist, this does seem like a key area for improvement. The breakfast was average but at least walkable to the downtown area with food options."

"This was a great place to stay for a short time. No restaurant meant going out for meals but it was close to the beach and very clean. The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant. It was also surprisingly quiet at night."
