"This was a lovely old charming house in a great location—lots of space and a nice garden. One of the bedrooms and bathrooms is located on the basement/garden level and has some sewage-like odor, so sleeping in that space did not work out for us. The house was otherwise very convenient but hot since no AC was available. Unfortunately, construction in the neighborhood was happening from 7 am to 6 pm on both sides of the house, and the noise levels (73bD) were stressful. Communication was ok;...

"The house had lots of spaces, which was nice for our group of 4. Everything was clean, well stocked and convenient. The rooms look fresher in the photos- we are suggesting an update in bedding would be a nice improvement as they were worn."

"There's much to like about The Yellow House, with one major exception. The bed is quite comfortable, and while smallish, the quarters are comfortable as well. Wifi worked very well, and the patio is a huge plus, for relaxing in the sun (I smoke the occasional cigar, so it was very welcome. It's also very quiet except for the occasional- as in not very often- barking of the two dogs next door. They're pretty cool pooches, so it was not a problem. "We loved staying at Rui's place. We were able to walk downtown every day and enjoy the hustle and bustle but then return to the apartment located in a very quiet neighbourhood. Being just a few minutes walk from a good sized grocery store was an extra bonus. Thanks for everything Rui!"

"Location is everything here, close enough to all you want to see and do, yet far enough to get the local experience. We are regular VRBO users and also are hosts for our property in the US. Jose contacted us, met us at the unit and the. Asked to take us for a 30 min orientation of the neighbourhood so we knew where everything was. Lots of great information and we went from being in a forest to a welcoming park in the 30 min. Coffee and pasteis de nata. We would definitely recommend this unit...

"Our main criteria when booking for 4 couples was 4 en-suite double rooms. This house offered so much more. The location was excellent for getting around. It is only one stop from Trinidade station, which is a main transfer hub and has lines to and from the airport. Trinidad’s is walkable in about 7 minutes. The house had all the amenities we needed for a long weekend and we liked the sheltered outdoor area, where we ate breakfast. The bathrooms were all good with decent showers too. Keypad entry...

"The stay was okay. The bathroom floor wasn‘t clean and so wasn‘t the floor in our room. You share the kitchen and the bathroom with others. It was nice to have the busstop to the beach and city in front of the apartement."

The staff was very accomodating to my plant-based breakfast request and made sure I had enough food. Our room safe battery died right before our check out and the staff resved the issue in a very professional and fast manner. The area is great too. Would stay here again. "
