His wife was waiting at the apartment with fresh linens, stocked kitchen, coffee, toast, jam and many resource guides with suggestions of where to go and the best way to get there. Everything worked beautifully. Plenty of hot water, fresh air, and the temperature always perfect. We felt very safe at all times and enjoyed the ease of walking most places. "This small apartment is perfectly appointed and perfectly located. It's a 3rd floor walk up, just a few buildings down from the famous Capo Market, toward the end, and a short walk to either the Palermo Cathedral or Teatro Massimo. The apartment is in a "real" Palermo neighborhood, not touristy - you'll hear the sounds of Italian wafting up through the back window from neighbors walking around (we were able to keep the window open for the entirety of our October stay, the weather was perfect)....
