"We greatly appreciate that Vincenzo was able to accommodate our late night check-in as well as a late check-out. We only stayed one night. When our flight was delayed and we had issues with our car rental company, I feared there would be no one to let us in the hotel but Vincenzo was kind enough to stay up to 1am and accommodate our entry. Palazzo Achates was perfect for us! It is in the center of old town on a quiet street and has been fully renovated with a beautiful modern minimalist design. I booked the last room available which, was described as small, but it was actually quite roomy and lovely. The owner answered all requests promptly and was wonderfully welcoming! He made us feel assured that the keycard entry to the hotel itself would work smoothly at any hour of the night, and it did. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The location was great. We took the airport bus to one of the main plazas I walked to our hotel about five minutes away. You have to go through a small entry and asked the man parking the cars for entry to the elevator of the hotel. It is located in the courtyard just off the main street it is very clean and must have just been remodeled. The owner is very knowledgeable and will try to save you money on your tourist desires. Il Giardino di Ballarò is a small boutique hotel located right in the center of the old, historic part of Palermo not more than a 10 min walk from most of the sights. It is a very cozy and modern accommodation, and has a lot of character. We felt very welcomed as soon as we walked in - the staff is very welcoming and friendly, offered us refreshments and then provided us with a lot of useful sightseeing and dinning tips. Nice breakfast that you can have inside or in the outdoor private garden....

We needed a transfer to the airport on the last day, this was facilitated for us, and the owner offered to prepare breakfast especially early in the circumstances. Charming room with high ceilings and large private balcony adjacent to reception/bar/breakfast room/lounge on the top floor. Effervescent staff who are eager to suggest best ways to spend time in Palermo and make dining reservations on behalf of the guests. Reception hours are limited to two shifts organized around breakfast (served 8:30-10:00) and afternoon/evening (4:30-8:30).

My wife and I had a great stay at B&B Opera. The room was clean and quiet. There was a good selection of foods for breakfast. The host, Marco, had a lot of information and gave a lot of good recommendations of places to visit while in town. The place is two blocks from a shuttle bus stop to Falcone–Borsellino Airport (PMO) and about 2 km from the Palermo Centrale Train Station.
