"For what I paid, I expected a rundown, depressing experience. I couldn't have been more wrong. The Dunes is old, but is in great shape and it's clear the owners and staff take pride in keeping it up. This hotel is a delight with lots of great features like a game room, pool and workout room. It is funky and cool and well-placed for an easy walk to the downtown area. I will be happy when I can visit again."

"Fantastic stay! Room was excellent, bed was Extremely comfortable. My room overlooked the pool/courtyard with a private balcony. Even with activities at the pool, it was very quiet. Check in-Checkout was seemless. "

"We enjoyed this beautiful, relaxing and peaceful hidden gem. We were welcomed by Sotera who lead us to a a/c cooled, spacious and clean room. As we were guided to our room through the garden we could not help but noticed cute hummingbirds that seemed to invite us into this private oasis. Sotera mentioned how some of the birds will actually come up to your hand if you hold a feeder. ❤️ The a/c was set at a perfect temperature, cookies on the table and cold water in the fridge. She mentioned an unexpected happy hour that allowed us to spend some extra time by the pool before dinner. Crackers, cheese, nuts, wines and margaritas!!!! Wowzer! We were just so impressed! Sotera reminded us that breakfast would be available in the morning and Blanca would be there to take care of us. As promised Blanca was there in the morning with a smile, great conversation and fantastic Latte’s and Cappuccino’s to order! A lovely healthy spread with a good variety. No run of the mill kind of complimentary breakfast slapped together here. A very clean and yummy presentation! We had a wonderful stay and actually hesitated to mention all of the extras because we do not want to have so much competition booking our next stay LOL. But seriously this was a great place to stay and the hospitality goes above and beyond!!! Blanca and Sotera really shine and the love for this property shows in how they maintain the grounds and care for each guest! We did not want to leave and can’t wait to return!"
