"Just an amazing spot. It is just like the pictures. Cozy, quiet and horses right outside. We were able to pick up some groceries in the nearby town and cook a nice dinner there with the well stocked kitchen. We stayed right up until checkout time because we didn’t want to leave. It was a perfect place to spend our last night in Iceland!"

"We were expecting more of a farm experience but we just got a little lodge on the farm. There wasn't really anyone around or anyone to contact about any potential farm activities. It was a nice stay but if you're looking for any type of farm activity, you might want to stay somewhere else."

"The property looked ok from the outside but upon arrival we were told we could not stay there because of a plumbing issue. We were provided a different property down the street on a much smaller cottage with fewer amenities. We are still trying to get some of our money refunded but we have been unable to contact their provided phone number after we checked in. Nobody answers their phone."

"This is a really nice property; clean and well equipped. My only complaint was it was boiling hot when we arrived. It was a warm day already (perhaps unusual for Iceland?) but the little house was sweltering and it was difficult to get a cross breeze as only 2 small windows could be opened. It was uncomfortably hot for about 3 hours (we even propped open the door to try to get the hot air out). Except for the heat, I was happy with this accommodation. Great location. "

"Everything was good. This hotel is a short ride off the ring road, they have signs, it is set against green farms and the dark mountain, and there seem to be hiking paths right behind it up the mountain. we were in one of the regular rooms, which had a nice bed, a new, modern bath with shower. There were bathrobes to wear to the hot tubs which felt wonderful after a day of sightseeing. We met friendly Icelandic horses in the field right behind the hotel. The breakfast was in a large, sunny room, lots of choices hot or cold. We were pleased with everything. The restaurant is a fine dining establishment, and the food was sophisticated and delicious. "

"If we could give this more than 5-stars, we would - this place was incredible. The owners thought of everything, from the items in the cottage, to the layout, it had all the comforts. I even took a picture of the loveseat because it was so comfortable and beautiful. The views are lovely, and you can see the waterfall from the bedrooms. We cannot wait to return, as we will absolutely be back. Thank you so much! "

"My wife and I had an excellent one night stay at Skalakot Manor Hotel as part of our 12 day tour of Iceland. The hotel was great, our room was really nice and the spa was fantastic! Staff and breakfast were great too. We did a one hour horse riding tour on the morning we check out which was delightful - would highly recommend it! Daria was our guide and she was great! "
