Comfort Inn Towson - Baltimore North

4/10 Poor

"Reservation desk took my id behind THICK glass. No other info abt hotel/amenities provided. Couldn't find a luggage cart (on leaving...found a partial cart...the tall end for pushing was broken off). Small room. Mold around window, no luggage rack, rough use of room, ink marks on linens, ants in entire area, gnats in bathroom drain. Poor repairs. No effort to patch walls or take down all replaced parts. Area near hotel seemed a little sketchy. General impression of hotel: run down. Husband looked in on breakfast room the next morning, but consumed food (minimal to start with) not replenished. Initially, we were excited abt cheap cost, but got what we paid for."

"When we checked in, the card key did not work on the door, which we found was left partially open. The front desk clerk tried 3 times to re-key the card, but it never worked. We were told if we left our room and wanted to get back in, the clerk could let us in with the master key. Once inside, we discovered the electrical outlets on the bed-side of the room were inoperable, as the night stand lamps and alarm clock did not work. When we looked, the outlets were blackened and sooted up, appearing to have been burned some time prior. The carpet was not recently vacuumed and there were two pair of socks, clean, I think, left in the dresser drawer, only one wash cloth and hand towel and hair in the bath tub/shower curtain. On the bright side, the air conditioning worked and we did not have any bed bugs! Yes, by that time, we checked!! If I had not pre-paid online, I would have refused the room, but at 11:30 p.m., on a Friday night, after a day of travel, all we wanted to do was sleep. Despite trying to get some rest, we were "entertained" most of the late night hours by the constant flow of traffic through the hotel. In the morning we realized there must have been some kind of party on premises, as a DJ's van parked directly in front of the front desk entry. What a zoo!! I remember Cockeysville, MD being an upper-middle class area as recent as several years ago. It has apparently become an extension of Baltimore City. NO WAY I WOULD EVER CONSIDER THIS PLACE AGAIN!"

"Very well kept accommodations, great location, lovely staff. My request for a room change just after checking in was addressed after a brief conversation. Also, staff were very responsive to our complaint of a barking dog alone in a room at 9:30 at night. Who would do that? The breakfast items were typical (5:10), not special. Staff kept the busy dining area spic and span. 👍👍 Other observations: The bathrooms were a very odd shape- can’t close the door if sitting on the toilet. But the shower was lovey and hot after a long tiring day. Toilet paper holder in barely reachable location. All in all we would return."

"This is a secure clean and quiet place to stay. I am impressed with the hospitality and services provided here. It’s so close to everything bowling shopping libraries close to the beltway. The rooms are beautiful the beds are comfortable. I enjoyed staying here…"

"I will Never be coming back here again. First the elevator was broken so I had to walk to my room. Next when I went to use the microwave there were roaches in the microwave and all over the tables. When I went to check out and asked for a Refund I was told I had to wait for a manager to authorize the refund. Then when I called the next day I was told the manager won’t be in until Monday. If I could give no stars I would have ! ."

"We needed a room with two beds. When we searched on Expedia, we used the filter that allows you to search for a hotel room with two beds. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that there were only rooms available with one bed. We were also told that it is the fault of Expedia that the Expedia website leads one to believe that there are two beds when there is actually only one."

"The hotel was adequate and convenient, but only bare essentials. Shampoo but no conditioner. Wet towels. Warm, not hot, water. Non-functioning TV. And clearly there were many full-time residents of the hotel based on the number of people hanging out in the hallways shoeless."
