"Fabulous spot for a long weekend away from Auckland. The sea view from the main property is amazing, and the pool / games barn a great place for the kids to be entertained. The hosts are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We stayed in the Kohinui (family) cottage - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, and heat pumps/AC in every room. The cottages aren't new, but the hosts have done a great job in making sure they feel clean and comfortable. Parua Bay village (with petrol station, bakery, and Four Square) is a short drive away. Ocean Beach is about 10 mins drive, should you want a day boogie-boarding or a dip in the sea. Or you can stay put and relax by the heated pool / hot tub at Kauri Villas with that amazing view. This place is a great find in a less-populated holiday spot, and reasonably priced for what you get - highly recommend!"
