"Danford's has always been a classic icon in Port Jefferson harbor, and after having lived in the area for over 25 years before relocating to Florida my family was excited to finally stay at the Inn. We found its coastal decor charming and the views of the harbor sunset gorgeous, it was also fun to be in the center of all the village activity. On the downside, the rooms are very small and we did have issues with the dated plumbing...a little disappointing at this price point but we would...

"The day I checked out, I started with a shower. However, I did not finish the shower because the vertical metal handle came away from the wall. Since I am already handicapped, I became quite nervous. Thank God I was able to maneuver myself out of the tub without falling. I reported this when I checked out and suggested that no one use that room until the wall/handle were fixed. "

"Loved the location of my stay. Had a couple of hiccups with tv and toilet but it was addressed right away and hey , this was their opening weekend so no worries. I was moved to another room and all good. Staff was amazing, felt more like friends . I would definitely come back and I would refer them to friends. The ease of getting to and from the ferry was awesome! Check in/ out was great! Very accommodating and genuine. "
