"My wife and I were celebrating or 50th anniversary and we were extremely happy and appreciative of our whole Whistler Fairmont Chateau experience. Staff at all levels( check-in,room service,custodial and restaurant wait staff) were very courteous, helpful and personable. We were particularly appreciative when the hotel front desk staff assured us we would not be charged for a day early check out due to my wife experiencing a sudden illness requiring medical attention. We look forward to our next opportunity to stay at this excellent hotel."

"Summit lodge is conveniently located on the edge of the main shopping area. The room was nice and well equipped, and we had a balcony with a view of the mountains. The only negative was that we asked for a quiet room. When we checked in, the man on the desk (who was lovely), said that this had not been possible and that we were opposite the lift on the 4th floor. Throughout the nights there was an intermittent loud hum (which I thought might be the fridge, but it wasn’t in the room). I’m not sure if it was the lift motors. Also, early on the first morning, a large inconsiderate group spent 5 minutes talking loudly outside our room while presumably waiting for the lift. The second morning we were woken by the fire alarm at 7.15 and had to evacuate the hotel. Not really their fault on either counts, but didn’t feel rested after our stay."
