"Unable to contact hotel by phone tried for over 2hrs information. Had to return to the hotel to get information."

"Room was clean but an issue with extractor fan in bathroom. Staff very approachable and polite. Spa staff were exceptional. Food was fantastic especially the breakfast."

"3 Horse shoes was great, for some reason our bedroom got mixed up, was supposed to have a family room but got a double. Staff sorted the issue, i dont know but apparenty is was an Expedia mix up. Issue was sorted by the morning even though we arrived late, cool pub with a kids soft play and decent playground. Foods nice, staff great....."

"We arrived later than planned because of multiple road floodings in and around Cardiff, but staff was really helpful, breakfast was tasty and the whole place was very cosy. We would have loved staying more Nights."

"Copthorne is now our home in Cardiff every time we are in the City. The staff are always amazing specially Ryan."

"The staff, from the pub to the hotel were absolutely wonderful! Very helpful and kind, telling me certain walking paths to get to the train station"

"There was no easy access to the airport by foot. Taxi was ok. Room was clean but very hot. This was easily resolved by turning the radiator off and opening the window. We were misled when booking thinking that the restaurant would be open. We had to order takeaway and wait 2 hours for food. The hotel does not accept cash which seems to be the way everyone is going. Staff were friendly and chatty."

"Location was convenient for us but the room was noisy with music playing until after 11pm on both nights. Strange smell in the room and no reading lights or fridge."

"Convenient location, safe, walking distance to food, grocery, public transport. Comfortable room and bed. Effective heating in room and hotel. Fast internet. Efficient and friendly staff. Would stay here again. Recommended."

"What a lovely quaint place to stay, with everything you need to have a relaxing time, would highly recommend."

"The parking was good, always available . The room was pleasant. The food was good. The problems were - the position on a hectic main road, I didn’t see it mentioned on there review. The heat, though the weather was not hot you could barely open the windows and then had to shut them because of the noise of the traffic and then there was black mold on the bottom of the shower. The staff were pleasant though breakfast was not explained very well!"

"Helpful staff, good breakfast and clean rooms."

"Room was clean, well maintained, nice hot shower & comfy bed. Tea, coffee, biscuits and a decent size cup are always a plus ! Solo female travelling for work. Only stayed for one night but had everything I needed. Felt reasonably safe. Only issue was the 2nd cottages directions sign was on the right hand side of road & obscured by a tree branch, so I didn’t see it & my sat nav took me left at the end of the rd & up a very tight private road to a bungalow based on the post code. Not ideal …....

"Lovely hotel, staff on arrival and in the restaurant were amazing and very focused on the details, food was amazing in the sorting room for the evening. Breakfast had a good selection although a bit disconnected… room was really noisy as it was about a party in one of the function rooms, when I told reception they said well it was Halloween, this is not the response I expected having paid £300 for the night …there was no apology for the noise experienced or any offer made, most disappointing."

"Unfortunately the pool is still out of action but that aside it was a good stay. Very helpful staff very clean and comfortable room, good breakfasts, jams at the toast area gets messy and sticky perhaps a re-think needed there, parking excellent. Only grumble was the noisy extractor in our bathroom it needs replacing, we used torches to use bathroom in the night so as not to waken our neighbours but we did report it to reception and hopefully it will be fixed for next guests. Overall a clean and...

"Arrived early as we were going to a matinee show in the Millennium centre. Although our room wasn't ready there was a place to store our belongings safely. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast is amazing."
