"Clean room, friendly and efficient staff. Dining room has been refurbished. Breakfast was mundane, nothing interesting and only sliced bread. I preferred when your breakfast was brought to your table, rather than self service. A good nights sleep in a comfort bed in a quiet room. The canal side view side is the best for peace!"

"Had a super lovely stay here, the lady in the bar was super friendly (Lauren) I think. We will definitely stay again. Lovey room and we had the bonus of a lovely view too. Food was great and the bed was super comfy"

"This busy hotel was a little out of town, very close to the railway station, and across a busy road from Morrisons. Although check in was a bit slow, the room and facilities were good, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast served by Valentino, was excellent. Access into town is much better if you manage to locate the canal at the back of the property. The hotel has a public bar with a good selection of drinks. All in all a good stay."

"Extremely easy to locate the hotel using the postcode given. We arrived in Skipton rather early and parked in the long stay car park round the back which is £8.10 for 9 hours but free from 6pm- 9am. There is free parking on the side road next to the hotel if you're lucky enough to secure a space. We had a lovely walk round Skipton centre - it's full of independent shops selling gifts, coffee, cakes and fish to name but a few. Great to see also lots of little pubs and banks/ building societies still going strong. We were able to check in earlier than 3pm and our room ( number 2) was absolutely perfect for our overnight comfort. Our curry cruise that evening was super but it was surpassed by the amazing full english breakfast at The Railway. We look forward to our next visit to Skipton and another stay in this lovely inn. Thankyou ❤️"

"A lovely cottage just a short walk from the town with its many pubs and places to eat but still in a very quiet location .the canal a very short walk with a walk along into the castle woods .ideally located for exploring the area by car .we stayed for a short break but intend to return for a full week in the future ."

"Excellent customer service, very clean rooms, super comfy bed and pillows. My room was facing the main road and it wasn't even an issue. I'm a very light sleeper and I had two nights of 8 hours sleep. Would happily stay here again"

"Great cottage great location Process with VRBO was awful though would not book thru them again. You think you pay on line then have to ring up and pay but no explanation or communication to do this."

"Lovely cottage tucked away from the main street but close to the canal and all amenities. Great to have own parking space. Kitchen is small as others have commented but perfectly adequate for the basics. Loved the wood burner."
