"I have booked with VRBO for years. The booking said Ski in and out with a renovated surroundings. First … walking down 2 flights of stairs icy wooden walkway , across a icy parking lot, up a bank of snow and down in ski boots is not what I call ski in and out. Close to slopes is one thing! Second, my family cooks in for meals. The pots and pans were dirty and awful. Didn’t have enough silverware or glasses! Mattresses in master and second bedroom were old and uncomfortable. "Stayed here with the family for 5 nights for midweek skiing. Have stayed in Sunrise before so we know we like the area. This unit gave us what we needed. Shame the fire wasn't working, but not the end of the world. The keypad door lock was great instead of needing a key. Would prefer regular toilet seats instead of squishy ones. They also don't stay up so have to be held. My teens would have liked the lock on the kids bathroom to work (it locked the handle, but the door could just be pushed...

"We had the most fantastic stay at the Vermont Sugar Maple. Jim and Linda were such welcoming and attentive hosts. The check in and check out process was the easiest we have had. The home was so clean and well appointed. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay with very thoughtful attention to detail. We enjoyed skiing at the Quechee ski hill and exploring Woodstock. The area was busy because of school vacation week so we felt very lucky to have a cozy home to come back to and a kitchen...

"Honestly, a wonderful spot to relax and unwind. Comfy (even the sleeping nook in the lounge, wonderful nights sleep had there!), well-equipped (everything you could need in the kitchen) and well-positioned to get to various corners of Vermont. The only downside is that the listing had ‘pool’ and other leisure facilities listed. These are over a mile away AND you have to pay to access them; this, to my mind, does not equate to the property having them. Just because there’s a private pool near...

"Can't say enough about how much we loved this place. First of all, it's huge with lots of space to spread out. The pictures don't do justice to how big this place is. The neighborhood is also a big plus with the lake several hundred yards away and nice walks abounding. Very quiet. The host was very nice and communicative. Overall, a wonderful experience!
