"Good value for money and friendly host. I would give it 3.5 stars. The property has a lovely garden and view of the lake but best suits someone with a car as there is a limited bus timetable to and from Varenna and is not suitable for walking. We travelled in October so perhaps there may be better transport options in the summer months. The room had everything we needed but could do with some updating."

Appartamento ben attrezzato secondo le aspettative...piccola negatività per altro già segnalata: il cavatappi rotto e noi abbiamo dovuto chiederlo a un vicino per aprire la bottiglia di vino. Ottima vacanza trascorsa."

"Spectacular place to stay. Sergio was very accommodating…met us upon arrival to give us a little history of the building, made sure we had everything we needed and went on his way. It’s truly as beautiful as the photos. And what a cool trap door (you’ll have to go and stay to see what I mean ;-). Had a wonderful bathroom, nice bar setup and great open space with panoramic views. You won’t be disappointed "
