"The hotel was very clean and well run. Breakfast was popular and very organised. This hotel has a lovely ground floor area for relaxing and is a short walk from Statford town centre. Our King room was soacious. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was dated and a bit small and the air con controls were manual and difficult to operate. You can open the window in tge room which allows for air to circulate."

"Beautiful historic coach house in the middle of the most beautiful part of the Cotswolds. Room was large, food at James Martins tavern was superb and the staff were fantastic, especially Jason who greeted us on arrival and the waitress Gina at breakfast who was so welcoming, friendly and nice to my 3 yr old son. Will definitely be returning. Hopefully for Christmas. "

"We had an executive room which was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the beverages and bathroom products of good standard. As the windows are single glazed there was some noise from traffic and local venues but the authorities obviously enforce noise restriction rules so this was not an issue during sleeping hours. Parking is secure with plenty of spaces available when we were there over easter. The 2 EV charging points are a useful feature. Breakfast is a continental buffet with a good range for a hotel of this size and a la carte hot options which were of a good standard. The staff were clearly well trained, pleasant and helpful. One day we reported that the room maid hadn't replenished the coffee pods and milk in the room and the young chap from reception brought supplies up to the room immediately. "

"room was lovely and modern, unfortunately was a long walk to the room due to renovation works across the entire floor. Location was great, easy to get to the NEC from there with uber. Food was low point, very expensive and honestly the steak looked like a small burger in size and the mushy peas on the fish and chips looked like a snot smear on the bottom of the plate. Ended up eating elsewhere for rest of stay. "

"We stayed as a small family during the Easter holidays, mainly to use the pool and spa facilities, with the hotel’s proximity to Gloucester Docks (around 2.5 km) also a key reason for booking. Overall, the experience was mixed. On arrival, our room had issues—most notably the shower. The bath–shower mixer tap diverter didn’t work, and water pressure was extremely poor, to the point even a bath was just a trickle. At £120 midweek (without breakfast), this didn’t feel good overall value. That said, the sole reception staff member was excellent. After a couple of prompts, and while clearly managing the desk alone, he moved us to a suite around 9pm, resolving the issue before bedtime. He also explained the water system is quite old, which may account for the pressure. The pool and spa were clean and functional—the sauna and steam room were up to temperature, and the gym well equipped—but overall felt dated and didn’t match expectations set by the price and photos. We didn’t use the restaurant/bar on the evening or for breakfast- there were no evident menus beyond an A4 printout, and pricing felt high; it was empty whenever we walked past. More generally, the hotel doesn’t match the polished Expedia photos. It looked dated, and even after the room change, the amenities and bedding were below expectations, particularly compared to Premier Inn. In summary, excellent staff, but the property and value for money unfortunately fell short"

"The accommodation is of a good standard and everything was clean, efficient and well maintained the staff were very helpful and friendly. Security was good and the on-site parking, monitored by an external company, was available whenever we needed it. We are very pleased to have made the booking and would do so again when we next say in Shirley."
