We had a lovely room, with a good bed, linens and bathroom. Staff were welcoming and friendly and we had an excellent dinner.

Our 16 night stay here in Jun/Jul of 2015 redefined the meaning of hospitality for us. From the manager on down, the service was superb: Zyta and Natalie are superstars! No request was too small or too big, and we were made to feel like family. Rooms were comfy and quaint, decorated in true British county inn style. We booked this hotel for a two night stay - pre cruise. We are still in awe of our stay here at The White Star Tavern Hotel. Beautiful location, great staff and accommodations, wonderful breakfast with lots of choices. Loved the green juice! Easy walk to nearby small village with a high end provisions store and a restaurant the Black Horse. If not driving good access to taxi services and limited uber.

The location was excellent; however, the discerning differential was the outstanding staff. Damien, Reuben and Andrew manned the restaurant extremely well and attended to my every need. The housekeeping staff were also polite and extremely attentive, Lastly, the breakfast chef was excellent.

Property managed to get it just right! Super historical and atmospheric yet still very comfortable. The bed was cozy and the rooms quiet. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay here again. Breakfast was made to order and excellent! Parking was tight yet present and free. Hotel was 3 blocks from city center and 2 blocks from cathedral. Perfect placement. Do yourself a favor and choose to stay here!!

Quaint property with rooms in the main building and in an outer building across a patio with table seating where we had a quiet, well-equipped, modern room. The Inn is a short walk to a scenic marsh and pond with fish/eel traps and a bench for savoring the peaceful view.
