"The concept is interesting - no front desk, common areas where you can cook or visit, small rooms, etc. Even though the room was tiny, it had everything we needed, and we loved the big windows looking out on the city. It was new and spotlessly clean and the bed was heavenly comfortable. It was within walking distance of the Helsinki Cathedral and harbor area. There were some great little restaurants in the neighborhood. We'd highly recommend it."

"This hotel is an excellent choice! Do not get the two `Scandic Grand` hotels confused as I did, it involved a bit of extra walking (my fault) The hotel is very convenient to the Viking Line terminal. It has a gym and sauna which was enjoyable. Very good room and helpful staff although the front desk can get backed up from time to time. "

"Construction at the time had minimal effect. This is first class traditional elegant downtown hotel. Very convenient to central Helsinki attractions."
