"The staff were amazing. Very nice and kind. The breakfast was good. The beds were a little hard. Really good taverna restaurant nearby with traditional food. Great location to rent a car and walk from the airport to. Easy. Great stay for an airport transition to or from Heraklion. Quiet room despite being next to airport. "
"This resort is stunning. Unfortunately, we were stuck with 3 days of cold, wind and rain while we were there, so didn't even get to fully enjoy it in its entirety. Even still, we had a wonderful time. Our room was beautiful with a pool view and private hot tub on our balcony. The biggest highlight to us was the FOOD!! Rarely do we walk away from an all-inclusive resort raving about the food, but by far, the best food we've ever had at a resort. Delicious meals with plenty of options. Drinks were also wonderfully made! "
"The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The location was great for shopping and the must see, the museum.
Parking is a problem, very limited and narrow streets."
"I recently stayed at Agapi Beach Hotel with my husband and our 15-month-old baby, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.
From the moment we arrived, we found the staff to be rude and inattentive, which made what should have been a relaxing family trip feel quite uncomfortable. As parents travelling with a young child, we really value warmth and support, and this was noticeably lacking throughout our stay.
It’s also worth noting that we appeared to be the only Black family at the hotel, which made the overall experience feel even more isolating—particularly given the lack of warmth and attentiveness we encountered.
The food was another major letdown. The options were very limited and highly repetitive, which is frustrating when you’ve booked an all-inclusive package expecting variety and quality. It became difficult to even look forward to meals.
To make matters worse, the weather during our stay was poor, and there seemed to be no contingency plan in place. Many of the all-inclusive amenities we paid for—such as access to pools, snacks, and drinks—were either unavailable or significantly limited due to the rain. This left us feeling like we didn’t receive the experience or value we had paid for.
Overall, this stay did not meet our expectations at all, especially as a young family looking for comfort and ease. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel based on our experience."
"This is a very nice, new and modern hotel. The breakfast every morning is very good and contains a lot of options and variety of food. We arrived early in the morning on our check-in day, and the staff was incredibly friendly and got our room together as soon as possible for check-in a bit before the standard time. Nice view from the sea-facing side of the hotel and only about a 20 minute walk to Heraklion center with a lot of restaurants, shopping, souvenirs, etc. Overall, this was a great stay. "
"It was ok, we have stayed at the other two hotels, Stella Island and Stella Palace, and to be honest this is not on par with them. The food was very limited, not much choice and if you’re a fussy eater you might struggle. All the flowerbeds were overgrown and if you had a sunbed next to one there was a strong smell of cat urine. The drinks weren’t great, the soda had that off taste or dirty pipes and isnt branded. There were also cockroaches in our room that came from the toilet floor drain. The staff were nice other than one girl at the smaller pool bar, she was always moody and acted like it was a hindrance to serve people.
Overall it was ok and Iv give it a 3 out of 5. I’d probably rather stay at Stella Palace for the same price next time.
The pools were clean but they do allow sunbed reserving and most were taken with towels by 7.30am. Some weren’t even used all day that had been reserved and the staff didn’t do anything to stop that from happening. This would be a major problem at high season."
