"Beautiful grounds. Immersed in nature. Hot springs on site, guided group hiking tour was enjoyable and interesting ending with a refreshing beverage made by our guide. "

"The view from our room was stunning. We saw the most amazing sunsets from our balcony, the room was spacious and comfortable with a full kitchen. Cleaning was always very timely when we left the cleaning sign. You do have to pick up the key from the danish immersion school nearby. You can leave your key in the room at checkout or drop it off at the school. Also, a mini supermarket is close by and several outstanding restaurants are within a 20 minute walk. Make sure to see monteverde waterfall and the ficus bridge. We had a very memorable time."

"It was a true pleasure staying at San Rafael Ecolodge. We enjoyed the homemade food, natural environment (where we spotted a baby sloth), pool, and proximity to La Tigra and surrounding sights. Giovanni's hospitality, as well as all the hotel staff, including Luis and the talented chef, was above and beyond what we could have expected. We stayed for two nights as apart of our honeymoon—our only regret was not staying longer."

"Its a family friendly hotel. Hot sprinds are nice. Breakfast was also good. Hotel building is bit old and washrooms were average cleaned. Only 2 towels were left initially. No comforter in the room. Front staff was nice and they gave them to us. "

"We enjoyed our stay here as well as the easy proximity to the cloud forest. Our daily breakfast was delicious. Any wonderful way to start our day. We even saw Coati’s playing around in the yard while we were eating. The rooms are outdated, but they were clean. The view from our room was spectacular."
