The beach facilities are private and excellent. Breakfast was included and there were so many choices. "Great location across from beach. 7eur taxi ride from bus station if u don't want to walk. Big rooms with balcony looking out to road and beach. Old town is mins away and either directions leaving hotel you will find lots and lots of tavernas. The host was very helpful in arranging a taxi for us for early departure to Heraklion to catch ferry since Ktel bus ride was cutting it close. Although bus ride is much cheaper and coach is really comfortable it costs 80eur by taxi for about 1:10mins...

"The Avli Lounge apartments are beautiful! We stayed in the Candy Suite for about four days. As mentioned in several reviews, location is excellent, and we were able to walk everywhere. Both Stelios' and Nickos were always available and helpful for everything.
Do note that there is no elevator as the hotel is in Old Town and they preserve the structures. That also means you have cobblestone streets which still require effort for even the smoothest luggage. The suite we were in was on the 3rd...
