"If you're looking for one of the best views in Capri, this hotel is an excellent choice. Unfortunately, the service did not match the beautiful location. The cups in the minibar were not clean and the toilet paper wasn't replaced until we specifically asked for it, which is a basic standard I would expect from a hotel of this level. The biggest disappointment was the welcome I received. While chatting with the receptionist, I casually mentioned that I hadn't been able to find an available room with a better view. I was not asking for an upgrade—I was simply making conversation. An older staff member suddenly interrupted in a very disrespectful manner, saying, "We only give you what you book. We can't upgrade it." I explained that I hadn't asked for an upgrade, but he simply turned around and walked away. It was an unnecessary and unprofessional interaction that left a very poor first impression. To be fair, the receptionist seemed genuinely sorry for what had happened and tried his best to make up for the situation. This guy and the manager were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and professional. Their hospitality stood out and made a positive difference during our stay. If I ever return to this hotel, it would be because of them. Overall, the hotel offers one of the most spectacular views in Capri, but the poor first impression prevented the experience from living up to its full potential. First impressions matter, and unfortunately ours overshadowed the rest of the stay."
