"The staff was very pleasant. Started out meeting the front desk who claimed that she was personally watching the parking lot thru video cameras all night. Made me feel safe about our car not getting broken into. In the morning i met Barbara the cook in the dining room. What a rare gem she is... This was my first time encountering Grits. When i asked her what this food is, she described her process of washing it a minimum of 9x, add salt, butter, and just a little sugar, cook 30 minutes. The breakfast buffet, which is complimentary eggs, bacon, sausage and gravy, biscuits, grits, bagels, bread, juices, fruit, and so much more was not only free but a better breakfast then we had been paying $25 a person at Wyndam resorts. The only negative comment i have is the room smelled musty, my belief is the is caused by a poor bathroom fan not pulling the moisture out of the room. "

"Tru is a very modern type of property. Pros: Amazing blackout shade that actually slides down into a track so no light sneaks around! Nice firm bed. Adequate room size for us (but I guess some people like more spacious rooms). Nice clean bathroom and a shower with awesome water pressure. **Breakfast was fabulous!!! Their automatic pancake machine you simply wave at was so cool. (I’ve read that those are only at Tru by Hilton.) There were also omelettes, sausage, oatmeal, toast, cereal, plenty of fresh fruit, juices, etc. Cons: I think we hit a rush time at breakfast, and there was only one lady to replenish the large coffee pots and food, wipe down tables, etc. Everyone was very patient, though, as she was doing the best she could. "

"Really great hotel. I was driving to FLA and this town was at the midpoint. I chose this hotel because of price and reviews. It was excellent- renovated, clean, nice amenities in the room, safe area, really nice staff- everything I want in a hotel. I liked it so much I booked it right away for my trip back north a week later. Thanks for the great value and comfort!"

"Conveniently located off I-95. The staff were all very friendly. The rooms were very spacious. The breakfast was great! The only downside was the beds need updated. They were very springy and uncomfortable. Overall good stay."
