10/10 Excellent

"A charming old hotel, but with modern facilities. Easy check in, with onsite parking. Staff absolutely excellent, always smiling, always chatting and happy to help. Romm comfortable, but we do wish there was a kettle on room, rather than having to ask for a flask of hot water every time we wanted a cuppa. The flak was always willingly provided, but not quite boiling water, so the tea was not quite up to scratch. Excellent location for the old town."

"This property does not look like how it does in the pictures. It was extremely ran down. We had an apartment for 4 days and our room was tidied once. The windows opened all the way up- wasn't sure how safe that made me feel knowing i had to open them to stay cool and anyone could climb in. No fan in the room. carpet hasn't been updated in 30+ years and it's caked in dirt. which stunk. and all cooking appliances and kettle were locked up in our room. There was no help offered at reception for bags. Breakfast on the other hand was okay- but always very busy."

"On the whole the hotel was clean snd well located for walking around the charming little town of Fussen. Breakfast is reputedly great but very expensive so we passed on it. The Alt Stadt (old town) starys literally across the street and has a totally pedestrian walking area with many restaurants etc. Our main criticism as of the parking. If you arrive with a car they don't have a lot of parking spots behind the hotel....no surprise as Fussen is a busy town with the three local castles. Our complaint was because they told us twice at the check in that their lot was full (it was 5 pm so no surprise there) but that we coupd park instead at a nearby commercial lot and they would reumburse us. The lot turned to be considerably further away than they told us and next morning the person on the front desk refused to reimburse us for the expense and hassle of the offsite parking.....very unprofessional we thought."
