"Really great staff who really know the area and cultivate the farm. They can give you information on ecology you won't find outside of guided tour groups in the park, and there's also yoga. The property is beautiful and it is easy to see birds. It is a pretty primitive property and so you should be expecting bug bites and no modern comforts. Bathing in rainwater is amazing, but it is also not warm. Also the ants really bite- I was itchy for a week afterward. So be careful. "

"The room, property and all amenities were clean and well organized. The managing host was friendly, organized and a very knowledgeable resource to guide us and help plan daily activities (thank-you so much!). All the staff were friendly. Having access to a shared outdoor kitchen was a surprise and extremely useful. Breakfast was made fresh and on-time, coordinated to details such as tour departures. This was an excellent stay and we would come again!"

The manager was extremely helpful and spent time explaining about the surrounding area and animal life. We felt as if we were staying with family! "House was exactly as advertised and had a great view. There was a berry tree in front of the house and every day two red Macaws would perch there followed by two toucans. The breakfast was great and you can walk down the stairs right to the beach. The only drawback was the hike up to the house, but everything else was perfect."

"Aguila del Osa is a dream hotel with wonderful views from the bedroom and main lobby/restaurant. The hotel gardens are beautiful and we saw many birds including hummimg birds right outside our room. There is a nice walk around the hotel and you can also take a trail into the rainforest and the nearby Cocalito Beach, All the staff speak excellent english and are very friendly and provide excellent service. The meals are very delicious with generous portions. The hotel offers a good range of excursions and we really enjoyed the boat trip and snorkelling in Isla del Caño. Other guests went to Corcovado National Park for the day although we opted for the overnight stay booked through another Company. We would highly recommend visiting Drake Bay and staying at Aguila del Osa Hotel."

I loved it however, both ATV transfers we asked for didn't materialise which, esp for the route back, was mildly annoying. "We love love LOVED our stay here!!! Just thinking about our time here makes me want to be back in Costa Rica!! I thought it might not be our kind of place - and I also didn't realise the Corcovado day trip boats could pick you up from there - but I chose to spend a couple of nights there so that we'd be half-way along the Drake Bay Trail. But it actually turned out to be one of our favourite stays in Costa rica (and we traveled the country for a month!). Firstly, it was right on a beautiful beach great for swimming, handily positioned on the free trail so you could more easily walk both ways, and the accommodation was super clean with excellent aircon. But the hosts are what make me almost cry wanting to be back - such a lovely lovely family! When we got there we weren't sure where we were and a teenage boy came across us. I think we were a bit early and he said they were just cleaning the room (honestly the whole place was beautifully spotless!) and then proudly showed us his church and his school (1 teacher, 4 students), both right on the beach (the cabins are right off the beach behind them). That night there was a opossum and the family called us to see - and then bought us some large turtles to show us from the creek! The next night when we had a knock on the door we were very excited and rightly so - Christian wanted to know if we wanted to go for a walk & see scorpions etc! Soo cool! We also had wonderful (complimentary) breakfasts and gorgeous dinners! Take me back! "
