The location is great with a short 10-15 minute walk to town either by surface street along the canal or the path along the water.
Rooms are rustic and comfortable with private deck, hammock, fridge, coffee maker, daily maid service providing bottled water and even nightly turn down service where they replace the flower petals on your bed with something like coconut macaroon cookies.
in the afternoons there was a bottle of tequila out for sampling in the lobby. A nice touch.

We had the 2 bedroom 2 bath suite with a very large terrace featuring 2 hammocks, dining table and lounge chairs. I fell in love with the place the moment they opened the door. Very comfortable and roomy, fantastic breeze, loved the sound of the waves all night long. Skip the boat ride to Playa Las Gatas!! The best beach and view is only steps down to the beach! The food at the beach bar was great and I can't say enough about the massage you can get for 200 pesos(around $12)right at the bottom...

Such a beautiful hotel! The landscaping, the view, the colors and all the sun and moon detailing made this a stay to remember. Easy access to the beach and boardwalk was the cherry on top.

Room was small but comfortable, it works for a place to stay if you are more interested in getting out and exploring the area.
Ac worked, showers were hot, pool was nice and staff was more than friendly.

I rarely write reviews but this facility truly warrants some commentary. My wife and myself visited for our 20th anniversary and EVERYTHING was spectacular; Service, location and dining.
Service - At no point during our stay did I ever have to search for an answer. The staff from Laura at the front desk to Fredy in the restaurant a subtle glance from either myself or my spouse they would spring into action...INCREDIBLE

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Casita emensely. The view overlooking Zihua Bay was spectacular. Morning breakfast was both varied and tasty. Very short walk to La Ropa beach. About one mile walk to center of town or taxis readily available. The staff was welcoming, always and helpful. There are 5 large bedrooms in this facility. After the four other occupants, that were there when we arrived left, we had the whole place to ourselves.would HIGHLY recommend this lodging.

Every single member of the staff was friendly, respectful, considerate, and earnest. I have stayed at luxury hotels all over the world, including in Hawaii, and I have never come across a more caring staff. The attitude toward the guest is "this is your home." And when you are there you feel like part of a small family. I wish I had taken more pictures of the staff & I. A very special thanks to Edgar, Huber, and David.

I loved the calmness, peacefulness and Resort-type atmosphere. The staff provided A-1 customer service in the restaurant, in the beach and pool area. Everyone was very accommodating!
My suite was a promotion, which was great, but I was very surprised to find out that when I checked out I was charged a 3% lodging tax, 16% sales tax, 7% service charge, 8% Resort fee. These taxes came up to 34% more on my bill.
I would have liked to pay everything upfront. All these extra charges added $600.00 to...

We spent a week at Hotel Casa de la Palma and were welcomed graciously by the manager, Jose. Jose gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The hotel is next to the market close to great restaurants and about a 10 minute walk to the waterfront. The hotel was very clean and secure. The resident cat, Misha, greeted us every time we returned from our day. We spent our days at the beach or doing activities and was nice to come back in the afternoon to cool off in the pool. ...

I wanted a nice, quiet environment where I could relax without the hustle and bustle a typical beach environment brings. I didn't want vendors bothering me every few moments nor share a beach with 200 other strangers. This is why Capella was an excellent choice! The rooms with a private-edge infinity pool are a must for couples wanting to relax by the pool with a nice drink in hand. We will be back!
