"We loved our stay here. So relaxing with wonderful views and quiet, comfortable space. The beach is an 8-minute walk down and after climbing the hill back up, we jumped in the pool to cool off. The space is really unique. It feels remote and secure. We saw a howler monkey in the trees and sea turtles on the beach. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking basic meals. Hot water throughout. AC unit worked great. The roads to get to this part of the coast can be rough. I was glad we rented a 4x4 truck, though you can probably manage with a regular vehicle. There's a big hill to climb to access the bungalow, but there's lower parking that doesn't require 4x4, but then you need to carry your luggage up the hill. Either way, it's worth the effort to stay here. "

"It is pretty basic, but it was SUPER CLEAN, the room was nice and cold, and the staff was amazing. We chose to stay at Ostional Turtle Lodge due to the proximity to the beach where our tour was scheduled. It is definitely off the beaten path a little bit, but that's what makes Ostional such a special place. A short walk to the beach passing a couple small little restaurants made it perfect. Because we stayed so close, we were able to book a tour the next morning and not have to worry about driving."

"Great place, beautiful property in an awesome location. You can do easy hikes through the adjacent reserve, if you walk down the beach you’re in town within 20-30 minutes. Food and service were great and staff was on point throughout the stay. "

"Great pool. Central AC is great. Very comfortable home. Downside is its 45 minutes to nearest good beach, half hour from decent grocery shopping, and 1 bedroom is a loft accessible only by a ladder and has half walls - very weird design."

"Staff were accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Pool was clean and chlorinated. Room was peaceful, with air conditioning, an outdoor shower, and a nice balcony. Staff arranged a sea turtle tour with a local guide (Gilberth), who was great. "

"Our 10 day retreat, was indeed a retreat! The house opened to the gorgeous pool and view. In fact one of our favorite features was that the entire house could open to our private jungle. We had daily, and nightly entertainment from our resident critters. Howlers, lizards, iguanas, and these tiny green frogs (they only are out at night). The noise they expel is amazing. Pool seating, towels, and just about everything you need was provided. Other favored features include an outdoor shower, lounging palace, huge ceiling fans which we found very refreshing. I will add at this time......NO BUGS, You almost don't want to say that out loud! Roads are challenging, get a jeep! It is worth the dust, rocks, and every divot on your way to this gem. We felt embraced by the peacefulness and beauty! "

"The house is just as listed, no photoshop needed here.Don't think a 4x4 is required to traverse the roads to the house, as we never used 4wd on our rental, but the peace of mind was there.Secluded, quiet, and the only sounds were the distant waves crashing, birds, and howler monkeys.Coffee in the morning in the outdoor living room, dinner at the outdoor dining table! All while overlooking the trees and the ocean in the distance."

"Iris the owner was very communicative and responsive. At the house, we were greeted by Louie who was the caretaker. Very sweet man who showed us around and was available anytime through WhatsApp to answer any questions we had. The house was clean and comfortable and decorated nicely. Wonderful views of the ocean and a nice pool to enjoy! Highly recommend! "
