However, rather than “do not disturb” as is customary in hotels, this hotel only provides housekeeping service by request. Not understanding this backwards way of doing things, I had no service in the four days I stayed. I’d seen the weak reviews about the hotel breakfast but the place was busy so we gave it a try: breakfast took *over an hour* to arrive at our table and was tepid, not fresh or hot, when it did arrive.
