"Very helpful and very kind staff, thank you so much to Stephen and Brad from the bar, and Aimee from the reception. They were very understanding that my aunt had mobility issues due to her recent back surgery. Stephen went above and beyond our expectations as he kindly helped my aunt and my 12-year old daughter with their luggages whilst I parked the car across the road. Brad very kindly accommodated our request to order food even if they were about to close already so we could celebrate my daughter’s 12th birthday there after a 4-hour drive from Lake District. Aimee has reserved a disability room for my aunt and went out of her way to make sure there was a fridge for my aunt’s insulin injections. She also made sure that our room was just next to my aunt’s. The breakfast was excellent too, very tasty. Overall it was a very nice stay and would definitely book this hotel again in the future. Well done Stephen, Brad and Aimee, you are the reasons why we are coming back to this hotel."

"The hotel is situated a short walk to the town centre, and there’s plenty of food and drink nearby. Parking is cramped for the larger car, I’m glad my discovery suspension could be lowered but got in well enough, the room I had was huge, I’d booked to stop over with my grandson to go to an air show (cancelled) so travelled on my own, but the room would have been great for a family to stay in as it had a self contained kitchenette, no problems with facilities or cleanliness, staff were polite and efficient, I didn’t use the breakfast facilities"

"WOW what a fabulous hotel! We had a lovely welcome at reception, our room was bigger than expected for a 'cosy' room. It was lovely and clean and although there was no aircon a substantial fan had been provided. The bed was very comfy. Bathroom was spacious, fluffy towels and toiletries which smelled gorgeous. We had supper and drinks on the terrace but I sent mine back as the chicken was very dry, there was no problem and when a fresh meal was served it was delicious. Breakfast was the usual buffet of cereals, pastries or cooked options. It wasn't the best, bacon was hard, eggs didn't have a runny yolk, mushrooms weren't fresh. For an extra charge there were a few other options but no poached eggs or omelette. The staff were very helpful and happy to do so. All in all a lovely stay wish I could have stayed longer so we could enjoy the beautiful garden walks."

"A really lovely hotel and the staff were all so friendly and attentive through our stay We did a spa morning whilst there and the massage was really good Also the restaurant was great with delicious food and a great setting especially sitting outside in the nice weather"
