"I had a great stay here! Jake provided me with lots of helpful information, and when I had to change my booking he was very understanding and professional about it. It's a short walk from all the places I needed to be in Hobart and the room was very comfy. Would definitely stay again!"

The Studio - Seclusion by the water with your own private beach.
10/10 Excellent
"As soon as I saw The Studio on the website my heart was taken and I felt drawn to it. Our stay lived up to expectations and more. The location is magical, the private road winding through an entry cut through the rock, with wildlife grazing on the sides and then opening to a private perfect little house with a private beach area and fabulous 270 degree views. The house might look small but the amenities are more than adequate. The kitchen contains nearly all you could need and flows into a comfortable living area with a bookcase full of books and some games to pass the time, as well as a large TV. A table and chairs for two sits in the large picture window near the wood heater. The wood heater fire was especially wonderful and made our stay cost and warm. Nigel was very accommodating and taught us how to make a fire, and he cut and collected wood to set us up. The spacious bedroom area overlooking the living area has a very comfortable bed and space to move, and a reverse cycle heater. But if you get the fire just right it should keep the upstairs just right all night. There’s a door out to a huge deck which would be wonderful in warmer months. I honestly could live there and was so sad to leave. I hope I get to go back one day. Thankyou so much, Nigel and Denise. "
"Quirky, friendly historical venue. Everything worked well and although the building is tired, the owners and surroundings made up for it. We booked in for dinner and were provided with a warming, substantial home cooked meal and a Charming hostess. Good selection of wines. Lots of accommodation types available. Close to Richmond (walk or drive) and easy access to other areas. Beautiful scenery and lots of animals that any children would love. "
"The accommodation we stayed in were converted stables. The rooms were well appointed, recently decorated and warm (we stayed in winter). The accommodation is annexed to the hotel. The hotel is the epitome of a country pub with traditional pub fair, eight ball and friendly locals in their seats at the bar. Not a refined experience but everything we were after, we were comfortable, fed well and welcomed."
"Beautiful cottage with a toasty fireplace perfect for the winter months. Great location within walking distance to Richmond Bridge and the main street for cafes and shopping. Johnnie was great with the instructions for arrival and easy to contact. Highly recommend!"
"This was a pleasant little cottage. It was well-equipped kitchen wise. Even milk and bread were there! The location felt like you were out in the country, but there were really a few neighbors around. Everything was immaculately clean. We had a problem with the heat one cloudy, chilly, windy day. I turned the heat down when we left in the morning, and then we just never got warm when we returned late afternoon. However, we are used to central heating, not a heat pump. The next day was fine. Morning sunlight really helps warm things up.We stayed here because it was a between our two main activities. We roamed Hobart one day and drove up Mt. Wellington; the other day we went to the scenic peninsula and old historic prison. It was also convenient to Hobart airport. We didn't do much in Richmond other than buy gas and a few groceries. There is a pretty old bridge in town. Thanks for a comfortable stay!"
