What a great place, and a great base for our forays into Olympic National Park. Also, the owner was great to work with, and made our stay here easy. Hope we get back here someday!
Had a great time and the house provided everything a group of senior citizen girlfriends need for a girls' trip. Hostess provided lots of useful info about the area. Recommended!
The home was very nice. The views of the harbor were spectacular! Location felt very safe and quiet. The location was also very convenient for us as we spent several days exploring Olympic National Forest.
Cindy was very helpful and her welcome book information is awesome.
We loved the house and location.
The little tubs on the deck were wonderful at the end of the day with a glass of wine and a beautiful view of the harbor. They kept warm for a long time when we kept the planks on.
A warm greeting by (Cindy) the owner. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and more . Clean warm and very cozy. The stunning view from inside and on the porch was spectacular, we were even saw a pod of Orcas swim into the harbor. . Highly recommend this beautiful house .
The property was wonderful. It was right on the water and a great location on the peninsula. It was fascinating watching the ships go by and the overall view was stunning. The house was clean and comfortable and had no complaints. It was beautiful. I would highly recommend The Bluff House to anyone visiting the peninsula. We did not want to leave and look forward to our next visit there.
Clean, comfortable, spacious fully stocked kitchen, proximity to restaurants, the pier and ferry to Victoria, Canada, walking distance to Discovery Trail, deck with view of Vancouver Island. Host knowledgeable about the area and helpful. Hope to return to this place.
Stayed here in Sep 2023 with friends. The house was just perfect - location, cleanliness, amenities, everything. It really felt like home. The owner was the best we have ever had - great communication and very welcoming. If we ever get back to this area, we will definitely try to stay here again!
We were out and about every day but really enjoyed keeping track of the ships going by or anchoring in front. There were some friendly deer visiting the property too.

My husband and I with our two adult children and their spouses had a fabulous time. We would check out the big ships, find their name on Google, and see where they were going, what they were carrying, Etc.
The house was equipped with everything we needed, and there was plenty of gathering space to eat, sleep, laugh, and chat.
The deer were amazing. Every day we enjoyed them. Some mornings, I would stay in bed and watch them out the window with my coffee. You won’t be disappointed.
Flawless day, perfect for three couples, everything you need in the house for a nice stay, convenient location - easily walkable to restaurants and town, host informative, many wonderful, hikes, easily, assessable by car, did I mention the view? Wow.
We enjoyed our stay in Cindy’s beautiful home! The view is absolutely breathtaking! Everything was clean and organized. Two nights we walked from downtown back to the house. (About a 10-15 min walk).
Cindy was very proactive, kind, and friendly! We felt very welcomed! Her place is a gem!
The house is in a great location if you want to take day trips to other neighboring towns or into Olympic National park. There is even a ferry that goes to Victoria, BC! (Takes about 1.5 hours).
We didn't want to leave. Beautiful view and house.
We stayed here with our family of three (2 adults and a 12-year old kid). This was truly a magical house. The views out to the Strait of Juan de Fuca are fantastic. We loved spending time in the living room reading, looking at the bald eagles, and talking. We even saw orcas in the bay outside the house. The house was very comfortable. We hiked all over Olympic and it served as an excellent base especially to Hurricane Ridge, Marymere Falls, and more. We had planned to go out in Port Angeles and to the park more, but found we wanted to spend more time in the home looking at the view in the afternoons and evenings! Also the host is super nice and the guide book was very helpful. One of the best VRBOs we've stayed at.
We loved our stay here so much. The view is spectacular! Loved hanging out on the deck enjoying the fresh air, and we had the same view from the living room. Plenty of space for everyone. We had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was very well appointed. There were items like napkins and wraps, so we didn’t have to purchase those items. Communication with the owner was excellent. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!!!
Girls Celebating a Special Birthday @ The Bluff House!
The Bluff House exceeded our all of our expectations! The view was..........BEAUTIFUL any time of the day especially sunrise & sunset. Many AM coffees were had out on the deck enjoying the view. Fun to watch cargo ships travel by or spend time in the port. We had more than enough room for the 5 of us (5 adults). Cindy went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. The coffee pot broke, a new one was delivered in no time. She hand delivered her home made banana bread and even shared the recipe with us. Cindy was very responsive to any and all of our questions prior to our arrival. She also shared detailed info on things to do in the area which we found very helpful. The location of The Bluff House worked out well for us, easy access to hiking in the Olympic National Park. We would highly recommend staying at this beautiful spot!

great base for exploring park
our family of four stayed at the Bluff House for two nights in late May. The house was perfect for us and the views are as advertised. All of us got a great nights sleep (very quiet location) and explored different parts of the park during the day. There's a great coffee drive through two blocks from the house right off 101 east with a remarkably pleasant woman making the coffee drinks. One block east of their is Olympic Bagel and they do a great job as well. The owners of the Bluff House are very attentive and have compiled an excellent and up to date information book.

Perfect View Home
This home was perfect for our trip to the Peninsula. We used it as our base to explore Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent, and the too long of a drive and back to Neah Bay.
The home is newly remodeled with floor to ceiling views of the water and Port Angeles marina. Our party consisted of 2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 children and there was lots of space for us to spread out.
Additionally, the kitchen is fully stocked for any food preparation needs.
For milder weather, the deck would be perfect to watch the ships go by with plenty of chairs.
Thank you for opening your home to us and we look forward to returning in the future.
We spent 5 gorgeous days here with family, including a child in a wheelchair. The house is bright and lovely, and there is a large deck with a 180-degree view of the spit and the Strait. We had everything we needed, including a big fully-equipped kitchen and an outdoor gas grill.
There are one or two small steps to get in, depending on the door you use, and the deck is level with the house. Wheelchair-friendly outdoor excursions include short paved hikes at Hurricane Ridge, the a short hike to Madison Falls on the Elwa, the Spruce Railroad trail at Lake Crescent, and the Moments in Time trail near the Lake Crescent Lodge (some tree roots). The house is also just a few blocks from the Olympic Discovery Trail, which you can get to on a paved trail at the park nearby. I *think,* from looking at in on a prior trip, that the trail at the mouth of the Elwa is largely accessible, but we didn't go there this trip.

Windows on the World!
This little gem of a house was amazing. The large picture windows look out onto the Straight of Juan de Fuchs and you can sit on the sunny deck watching all sorts of marine transportation go by-cruise ships, tankers, pleasure boats...it's a changing scene every hour! I've been raving to friends since my return about this house. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The house is clean, bright, cheery and the landlords are very easy and kind to work with. It's a short walk to most restaurants and the ferry. And don't forget to look up to see the eagle living in the tree at the edge of the deck...something you don't see every day!
We used this as our base camp while hiking in Olympic National Park and it was a perfect location.
Charming, charming, charming....I want to go back!
We spent a blissful week here with our three grown children, using Port Angeles as a base to explore Olympic National Park and the surrounding area. This is without a doubt one of the nicest properties we've ever rented: a beautiful, spacious and comfy house with breathtaking, 270-degree views of the water and an outstanding owner who goes out of her way to make her guests feel comfortable.
We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck overlooking the water, watching the birds overhead and the boats below, and had our dinners in the same spot, watching a glorious sunset every night. No wonder we didn't want to leave!
The three comfy bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, gave our crew plenty of space and privacy. The generous, well-outfitted kitchen and outdoor grill made it easy to prepare outstanding meals at home. Thoughtful touches make this house special: lots of binoculars to observe boats going by, TIVO, hiking poles, a wonderful library of books, sharpened knives, and a beautiful garden, just to give examples. The house is in a quiet spot, well-located, within walking distance to the harbor, shops and restaurants.
Cindy was the most accommodating host in the world, sending us suggestions in advance of what to see and do and answering questions all week long to make our experience more enjoyable. She even rushed over first aid supplies when one of us had a minor emergency.
We recommend this property highly and hope to return.
We rented this for a family wedding. The location and view are top notch. Cindy was a delightful host, the house is perfect for a family, especially those with some mobility issues (walker/cane) as it’s one floor. Plenty of room/bathrooms. The kitchen has pretty much ever you could need. We loved staying here!
